Corvino Family Farm

Corvino Family Farm We offer different services and sales. This is our main page. We raise and sell miniature cattle Iri The farm name is new but we are not!

What we strive to do is quality over quantity, slow and steady wins the race. This is how I am in training horses and raising cattle. I am a veteran and the cattle and horses are my therapy and way for me to share my passion. We do specifically ground with horses. We do allow those who want to come out hang with a horse, or want to grab Loki or Cocoa for a grooming and cuddle session that also all

owed. Loki and Cocoa love the interaction. Cocoa loves baths when it is hot enough out. Loki prefers to have dust bath. We have a small herd and hope to grow as we are trying to do a close herd. We will keep the cows and breed using AI. Currently we have Max for a time til I get some more heifers with his line with Cocoa's help. We are looking to add Pineywoods to our cattle. The goal to breed piney woods is the color and still keeping to the multipurpose breeding. Our goal is to have the multipurpose steer or cow. To pull (trainability and pet), Provide for the family meat and or milk production and good utter. These are things that take time when we are purchasing not registered and going with what is cost effective. Price of our cattle we try to be competitive but also can provide feed and care to the cattle. The price includes what we do for the cattle. All cattle can range in price depending on what we are doing.

Will hopefully by next week will have some content made. This is so new to me 😅. I used to have different pages just because and now Facebook does reels and now allows us to reach more than just local. I will be posting on here for the cattle and for the horses will be posting on April's Horsemanship page and all videos will be posted on my YouTube channel Corvino Family Farm. Which some of my older videos are on there. I remember when YouTube was where young me would make music videos using video from our favorite movie or anime 😅.

There are some plans to have 2 lines with our originals. Hoping to infuse some pineywoods but that may have to be still a ways in planning. For now we still focus on Dexter crosses with mini hereford. If wonder why. We like the heritage of the Dexter but I also like the history and temper of the hereford. I also like breeds that were multipurpose of oxen in history. Pineywoods is another great animal that is also known to be used as oxen. Trooper will hopefully have a new girlfriend and our little heifer will hopefully will find her a boyfriend for her. A photo of Trooper being still homesick to be back at the house lol

I would like to extend my apologies for the prolonged absence of updates and content. Following my relocation to Alabama, I was diagnosed with PTSD, which has required me to reassess my priorities. My initial plan was to focus on the farm and my mental health; however, the demands of my 9-to-5 remote job have taken center stage. The past few years have been challenging, with job loss and its subsequent mental health implications. Fortunately, I have secured a fulfilling full-time position that prioritizes my well-being. Although our plans for farm tours and educational programs have experienced setbacks, I am working to establish the necessary infrastructure, with the goal of being operational before summer. The horses will be integrated into the farm tours, focusing on their care, behavior, and training methods, as well as the distinctions between wild and domesticated animals. My aged mustang, Sage, has historically been an enthusiastic participant, showcasing his skills, but his advancing age may lead him to prefer demonstrating his more subtle talents.

Apologies yall! So Much going on. We been trying to find ways on a budget as we had fence and had plans but trees falling on said fences put a damper on alot of the plans. Then I went and found a full time job to help fund what was needed. It takes a lot out of me and I get stuck in an office which I dislike but I also love the work I do. I also miss being outside. I finally got some new Lock Jaws to try for the electric fence since we will be probably using more of it as I'm now afraid to use my last roll of stock fencing until we know for sure where we want it. Then Loki came and I was then distracted 😂. How can I not love on this big boy! We will be working on thinning the herd. We are gonna pause on breeding the cattle. So we will be listing Gracey and her heifer Dixie. I will be trying to get video and try and tame down Dixie. I have neglected working on the calves this time around as I lost the fence I was using and then had to use the round pen to fix portions of fence. I thought I was gonna do this winter but Alabama weather had other plans. Weather permitting you maybe seeing more of the farm again. We may be getting some sheep if I can get things ready for them.
