Wild Iris Farm's full-service boarding facility's location, just 1 mile from the main entrance to Acadia National Park, makes it attractive for people seeking to bring their horses to ride/drive on Acadia National Park's world famous carriage roads. Boarding includes turnout on grass pastures. The stable has been in business since 2011 and has many very satisfied clients. Wild Iris Farm's carriage service provides classic wedding carriages in a beautiful vis-à-vis carriage drawn by stately Shire draft horses. The horses also draw a farm wagon which takes people on tours of the Bar Harbor countryside. Wild Iris Farm's Farmhouse is available for seasonal rental (May-November) via VRBO #1071478. The farmhouse was completely redone in 2011 and has been beautifully restored. Guests love the quiet location just minutes from the Park and downtown Bar Harbor. They enjoy interacting with the farm animals, too! There is a private hiking trail that ends at a local swimming hole.
