I did a test run of my incubator, selecting eggs for their color. Although the flock is still mixed, it's obvious a Showgirl is the father. The egg was olive-speckled.

Another first for our Little Farm, call ducklings! We started building a breeding group last year, and these lil dumplings are the product of their love.

Call ducks are much smaller than standard sized ducks, and can be quite verbal. Soda can for comparison.

The left picture is 8 years ago, the hen on the left is "Crooky". I took the picture on the right the other day. She is my oldest, smartest hen 🥰
