This week, we're shining the spotlight on Barrel House Distilling Company, a proud KDA Craft Member with roots in Lexington's historic Distillery District and an exciting new chapter unfolding in Cynthiana.

Founded in 2008, Barrel House Distilling Co. has built its reputation on producing handcrafted Kentucky spirits using traditional methods. Visitors can experience the original Lexington distillery, enjoy cocktails at The Elkhorn Tavern, or visit the company's new distillery in Cynthiana when open as Barrel House continues to grow its Kentucky footprint.

Reflecting on this exciting milestone, Lead Distiller Dan Dotson shared:

"We cannot wait to get the doors open to share what we have been working so hard on. Years of planning and work have gone into this from everyone at Barrel House and to see it finally coming to fruition is so exciting for us. Co-Founder Tom Bard is a direct descendant of William Bard, who founded Bardstown in 1780. Nearly 250 years later, the Bard family is still on that same Muhlenberg County land — now crafting Cinder & Smoke Kentucky Straight Bourbon and welcoming visitors on The Kentucky Bourbon Trail®.
