I’m not sure how it’s already August?! Unfortunately, things haven’t worked out in the garden department for me this summer and I won’t have blooms this season. I had high hopes but will bottle everything up and plan better for next season. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support! ♥️

Here’s a little update on our 2024 season here. I’ve had several people reach out about flowers and I’m afraid it’s going to be a bit of an “off” season. I will still have some flowers, especially later in the summer, however with life and weather, things are behind and a bit different.

Many of you may not know but my husband have a cattle operation here which we started at the same time as Whiskey Creek Gardens was dreamt up in my head. This last winter/spring we’ve been extremely busy expanding the cattle business and it has to take precedence. I absolutely love growing and sharing the flowers, so I’m not ready to give up-but it’ll just be a slower season. Thank you for your understanding and support! I will update as I have flowers available and where that’ll be. 🤗

It doesn’t look like much but I finally got my pre-sprouted ranunculus and anemones under lights! Now I need to work on getting them outside and under the low tunnel (which doesn’t yet exist 😂)

Do I know exactly what I’m doing? Not usually-but it hasn’t stopped me yet 🤣 There’s lots of sowing and transplanting to be done this week 🤗 🌱

I can’t wait to see these bloom beautiful flowers this spring.
Hopefully I’ll have buckets of flowers like the second photo 😉

We’re less than 3 months away from this 💐 , or maybe sooner this year. Today feels very much like a spring day. I’m reminding myself that a lot of weather can happen between now and then, and not to get ahead of myself 😂

Just over here dreaming of the days when I have these blooms again 😍 I’m in awe of the shimmer on the petals of these dahlias.
It’s about time to start sorting through my tubers to see how many survived winter storage. Then waking them up! 🌱 Spring can come and stay anytime.

Happy Valentines Day! I hope you’re spoiled today - and if not, then spoil yourself! You deserve it. ♥️

I’m working on plans for this 2024 season and need your help! I’m considering offering a subscription service. Do you have a local business (Pelican Rapids and Barnesville) in mind that would love to be a pick-up location for fresh, weekly bouquets?! Please let me know, I appreciate you! More information to come 🤗

This morning was beautiful, though sad to say my goodbyes for the year. The frost creates a different type of frozen beauty.

Now things are warming/thawing and will begin to turn to black.

Let the garden cleanup begin!
