It is officially SUMMER and that means more and more stands with fresh produce! We grow and sell flowers, pumpkins, gourds, and herbs on our farm. For ourselves, we grow some veggies, but most of our produce we get from other small farms. I know first-hand how much work it is, so I love being able to support other local farms.

Today was a little stressful but a lot of fun. I was a little nervous what flowers I would have ready to harvest this week but it worked out wonderfly. I put together 5 arrangements and 24 bud vases for Erika's bridal shower. A huge thank you to Mary DeFrancesco for trusting me with this special day and continuing to support my little farm.

And yes, my flower assembly area is currently my newly renovated first floor bathroom. Makes cleanup very easy 😅

The last Ranunculus bunches will be going out to the roadside stand this evening at 7PM. With the temperatures reaching the 90s later this week, even the shade cloth I have keeping them 'cool' will not be enough.

Ranunculus are fickle plants and take a lot of extra love and care to grow in my zone. This year was by far my best growing year and I feel like every year I learn more and more how to make them happy and productive. I have already ordered my corms for next year and plan on adding a few more varieties.

A rainy Sunday made for a great baking day. I experimented with some new inclusions. Some were great, some were okay. In some cases, I just needed to add more inclusions.

I also experimented with minis. My thought is it would give me more variety throughout the week, yet limit the amount of bread in our house. Like a beer flight but for bread!

Scones
- Cranberry, Blueberry, and Cherry Scones (winner of the week for me)
- Jalapeño Cheddar Scones (good but needs more inclusions)

Artisan Minis
- Plain (consistency is getting dialed in)
- Rosemary (very good and I don't love rosemary)
- Jalapeño Cheddar (Husband's favorite of the week)
- Garlic Italian (so good, definitely a weekly bread for us)
- Cran, Blue, Cherry (needed more inclusions)

Regular Artisan
- Garlic Italian (where you will find me in my bread coma)

Finally getting flowers a little more consistently. I will have the roadside stand out this weekend. I will also have the cooler stocked with duck eggs!

One thing I have been thinking about is having a VIP Membership to Flowers & Coffee. This membership would allow you access to the farm every Saturday from 0900-1030. Watch the birds, bees, and butterflies. Read a book. Do your morning yoga exercises. The purpose would be a peaceful and calming start to the day among nature.

I would offer self-serve tea and coffee. And since, as it turns out, I love baking bagels and scones, there may on occasion be those too.

This would be an annual membership. Come as many Saturdays as fit with your schedule. If you wanted to pick flowers during these hours, that is fine, it would just be an additional charge.

Thoughts? Feedback?
