A big week of planting! 🌱

Peppers, eggplants, sweet corn, sweet potatoes, melons and pumpkins all made it into the ground and narrowly avoided a late frost.
Peppers and eggplants will stay tucked under row cover until the cooler temperatures give way to some proper summer weather.

It’s a little wet this morning but the rain stoped just in time for so come show some love! 💚

Figs in Vermont??

Figs have been a little passion project for us the last few years and with some experimenting and trial and error, we finally harvested more than expected this year. In past years, we have only had enough to snack on a few times while doing other greenhouse work. But now?!

When you put it into perspective, we only get to try new techniques once a year and if it doesn't work, then we have to wait until next spring to try something new. For us to get enough figs this year is a huge milestone!

Here's to the future of figs!

Well folks... This week was hard. When things are hard it is so easy to spiral into a negative mood and feel like nothing will ever get done. Through blood (I'm okay, just a cut finger), a whole lotta sweat, and a few tears, things turned out just fine. Everything always works out somehow, right?

It's times like these where I like to remind myself to slow down and take a moment to appreciate the beauty that I am constantly surrounded by each day. It is a privilege that I often take for granted when in the thick of the farming season.

I am eternally grateful for the farming community, family, friends, and our loyal customers who show up and support us everyday.

Happy farming! 🌱
