First an In-Hand World Champion, Tanqueray is the 2010 Amateur Western Pleasure World Champion with our daughter, Ashley Morris. Memories of 2010 might be themed the year of “many firsts.” Maine Morgan was Tanqueray’s first 2010 show, and his first “his way” exuberant victory dance, it was not to be his last. He marched right on to New England Morgan where: with his owner, Carol, riding in the prestigious New England ring for the first time, Ashley looking for her first New England Western Pleasure Championship and Daryl Hopson, all the way from Washington State to experience his first ride on Tanqueray, each experienced a victory pass “Tanqueray” style. Tanqueray is the first horse in the history of the New England Morgan Regional to have made four victory passes in Open Western Pleasure. Next stop Syracuse...Amateur Western Pleasure...first. Amateur Western Pleasure Championship...first. The Grand National would be Carol’s first ride in that “Grand” ring and Grand National Stallion Champions they were. Unanimous! With the style, grace, and beauty of Amateur Western Pleasure World Champions for 2010, Treble’s Tanqueray and Ashley Morris jogged out under lights. We thank “Ray’s” many fans who voted him 2009 Horse World’s People’s Choice Reserve Champion Overall Western Pleasure, Reserve Champion Amateur Western Pleasure. He is also 2009 SHR Breeders’ Reserve Champion Western Pleasure Junior Horse Sire and USEF Region 1 Open Western Pleasure Champion as well as Amateur Western Pleasure Champion. Equally enjoyable is watching Tanqueray’s sons and daughters prove they are in-hand and performance champions, too. From coast to coast they continue to garner regional and world titles under the guidance of several amateur riders and professional trainers.
