What makes a farmers market special?
It's not just the food.
The Capital City Farmers Market is one of the few places where the people who grow your food, raise your meat, bake your bread, throw your pottery, and craft your gifts step away from the field, the kitchen, and the studio to spend a morning with their community.
We meet each other here.
A farmers market is more than a place to shop. It's a place to share stories, ask questions, learn something new, and understand the journey behind the things we bring home. Every tomato, loaf of bread, mug, bouquet, or jar of honey has a face behind it—a neighbor who planted it, shaped it, baked it, harvested it, or made it by hand.
That's something you won't find in a self-checkout line.
There's something meaningful about knowing where your food came from, how it was cared for, and the person who made it possible.

With 40+ incredible vendors, you'll find the freshest local food, beautiful handmade goods, delicious prepared foods, coffee, pastries, flowers, and so much more.
Some rare vendors are in the house this week: Backcountry Bagels, Green House Pottery, Greenfield Highland Beef, Le’Fusion Botanicals, Schoolhouse Farm, and Tilia Tea Company. Plus all the favorites you know and love.
