5/15/2026 Update on knee, I'm off iv antibiotics but still have to take 2 oral antibiotics a day. Been camping and riding our new ebikes. It's still tender and gets red but I'm hopeful that I'll recover from this without having to have v anymore surgery on it.

4/17/2026 surgery update.... 5 weeks of IV antibiotics done, should have my PICC line removed by next Thursday. The Infectious Disease Specialists doctor call and setup a appointment on Wednesday to see if I need to be off of or stay on antibiotics longer. I'm hoping that this is over. My arm can't take it any more.

4/2/2026 update..... staples are out, no more PT, 3 more weeks of IV antibiotics and hopefully that will be done with doctors for a while. Camping season starts 2 days after picc line comes out. Glad to say I'm healing up.

3/15/2026 update, since last update I had a lot of problems.
Ended up having to have my knee replacement surgery reopened flushed out and parts replaced. Was in the hospital for 2 days. I had a Picc line put in my arm and sent home to administrator IV antibiotics 3 times a day for 6 weeks. But the redness is getting better and swelling is getting better. That is all for now.

I have been facing a major health setback, being confined to bed for three weeks with knee problems, but I am adhering to the doctor's advice for a turnaround.

***NO SYRUP FOR SALE THIS YEAR ***
Maple syrup tapping season is here; however, my existing syrup supply from last season eliminates the need for this year's tapping. Time to heal up the knee.

My knee is on the mend , started PT a few weeks ago. It's making me get back into the swing of normal things again.

Lost the walker, lost the cane, healing up and going to see the doctor on Wednesday, I'll be driving to PT on Thursday.

My surgery is now finished. Before the operation, I met briefly with a nurse who knew me from her page membership; unfortunately, her name is not coming to mind at the moment. She, however, knew who I was, and seeing familiar faces from the page was lovely. I'm resting comfortably in my room with anticipated discharge tomorrow afternoon and plan to head back to the farm.
