Salted Caramel Frosting 😋😋
Ingredients:
1 cup firmly packed dark brown sugar
1 cup butter
1/3 cup heavy cream
4 cups powdered sugar, sifted
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon sea salt
Directions:
Step 1: I bring the first 2 ingredients to a rolling boil in a 3 1/2-qt. saucepan over medium heat, whisking constantly.
Step 2: I stir in cream and return to a boil, then remove it from heat.
Step 3: I pour the mixture into the bowl of a heavy-duty electric stand mixer.
Step 4: Gradually, I beat in powdered sugar and vanilla at medium speed, using the whisk attachment. I beat for 7 to 10 minutes or until thickened. I use the frosting immediately.
