We had a new baby born last night, she is tiny and weak. Momma hasn't had much h to do with her. We are now bottle feeding but she thinks chins taste better than the bottle.

Dawn the white chicken came from our neighbors. She was the lone chicken left of her flock and came across the creek to visit our chickens then went home daily. Well when it got cold she moved into our coop with our chickens.

So this is conversatiom in their coop today.

Dawn: I used to live in another coop before I moved in with you.
Chickens: Oh where was that
Dawn: Across the creek.
Chickens: Let's go on vacation.

Dawn proceeds to take them across the creek to visit her old home

Finally after a long six month wait our Easter Eggers are lying! We got our first blue egg today.

We had 2 broody hens that we gave babies. They are coparenting. The blue momma leads the way during the day while they both feed, but at night blue momma leaves it all on the black one lol. And just some pics of the best roo ever "Dom"

It's getting a little crazy here on the Funny Farm. We got 8 EE/Brahma crosses that will be 3 weeks old Monday. Yesterday we received a total of 43 Brahma (Buff, Light and Dark) and Sussex chicks, along with a surprise chick. Time to build some more coops. I forgot to mention we have 22 eggs in the incubator with 10 days left. Have a great day!
