Tried a new recipe today, calling it "Hellfire Chex Mix." It is regular Chex Mix, minus seasoned salt, add chili powder and cayenne pepper (powdered), plus Hot & Spicy Cheez-It crackers, wasabi peas, chipotle peanuts, wasabi and soy almonds, and an entire bottle of habanero pepper sauce. This was created for my brother. We'll see how it turns out tomorrow! Also managed to make batches of peanut butter fudge and semi-sweet chocolate fudge, and 2 dozen (each) of peanut butter cookies and gingerbread cookies. Yum-E!

The movie GMO OMG is taking the US by storm: from countless positive accolades to interviews with the director, GMO OMG is being heralded as a "powerful film about our massive social contract with the biotech food producers who don’t want us to know what we’re eating." (Source: TheWrap.com)

Says Laurene Williams of Honey Colony: "(GMO OMG is) a layman’s look at the world of industrial agriculture. By design, the industry is irreproachable and impenetrable. It is run by corporate behemoths. And to question their scientific methods or authority is to be ill-informed, unsophisticated, or stupid."

The LA Times agrees: "Jeremy Seifert's thought-provoking documentary GMO OMG surveys the controversial, unreconciled presence of genetically modified organisms (GMOs) in most of our non-organic foods...His lighter approach keeps a somewhat arcane topic more easily digestible, dare say entertaining."
