🎶If you have (or even if you haven’t yet) attended Broadway Nights or Becoming Neighbors events at Sturdy Shelter Brewing - you will want to come out Saturday, August 29 at Sturdy Shelter Brewing for the Lumunos annual musical fundraiser, A Place for Us.

Doors open at 6pm.

6:30-8pm will be a ticketed fundraiser, featuring some amazing performers from the St. Charles Singers.

8-10pm will be our regular Broadway night at Sturdy (no tickets needed), where anyone can come up and sing alongside our amazing pianist.

🙌HAPPY INTERNATIONAL CROKINOLE DAY!🙌The board is out and the beer is cold!

Crokinole is like a mashup of shuffleboard and curling, played on a tabletop board and it has become quite a favorite at Sturdy!

🍺The object of the game is to take turns flicking wooden discs to land in higher-scoring zones or knock opponent discs into the gutter in order to reach a target score, such as 100 points, by the end of consecutive rounds.

🍺Sound like fun? Don’t worry if you’ve never played! Cam is working today and is glad to help

🇮🇹🚨2027 Exploring Italy with Sturdy Shelter Brewing🚨🇮🇹

Looking for community? Want to travel and make life long memories and connections? Sturdy will be traveling to Italy, Spring 2027, and we’d love you to join us! Tuscan Countryside, Florence, Rome, and places in between, make this trip a time for experiencing some of the best of Italy! Of course, we will hit up some breweries and enjoy great food, wine and culture!

The brochures for our 2027 Italy trip are available in the taproom, in our link-tree and on our website!

Unlike previous trips, we will NOT be accepting registrations before August 22. Registration will take place IN PERSON only, on Saturday, August 22 at 9:30 AM at the brewery. The two week waiting period is an intentional move on our part to be inclusive and give guests who have not traveled with us before an opportunity to learn about the trip and have a chance to join us, too! Additionally, we are limiting registration to local community members rather than out of state friends, etc.

(If you cannot be here on the 22nd, please arrange to have someone drop off the registration and check for you.)

From the agora in ancient Athens to the present day, we will explore strategies for
finding meaningful and lasting joy in life. Although some things have changed a great
deal since ancient Athens, most of the important issues have not. Dr. Kelley will discuss how
Epicurean philosophy has influenced some of my current research on organizational
culture and the cultivation of personal well-being.
