Spent the evening processing some grow outs and weaning some babies! We also experimented with tattooing the weaned babies. This will help us be able to identify who came from which litter, thus helping others grow their breeding program! Now, we just patiently wait for our Flemish Giant mama to have her babies. 👀🤞

Since we talk just a little about meat rabbits on this page…..okay, A LOT about meat rabbits on this page….we thought it would be beneficial to introduce our breeders!

We currently have two proven bucks in our rotation. DJ is a buck that we have owned/bred his “grandparents!” Karl is a buck that we bred last year and his first few kits are hitting the ground now.

Our tried and true does include Piper, Quinn, and Trudy. Piper was our first meat rabbit we ever purchased. She turns 5 this year (wild, I know). Quinn is from one of our first litters that we ever produced. She was an indoor rabbit for awhile before we decided we wanted her for breeding. Trudy was our wild card. We added her about three years ago and she is the smallest of our does (still weighing over 10lbs….). Don’t let that fool you, she has produced the BIGGEST litters - we’re talking 12-16 kits. Imagine that.

Matilda is a Flemish Giant doe that we added just a few weeks ago to further diversify our kits. She’s just shy of 4 months old and easily out-sizing our current does.

Lastly, we added two FG crosses to our mix. We will continue to watch them grow to ensure that they possess the size and qualities that we want in our buns.

Stay tuned for more information/updates on our breeders! ☺️
