Had an egg pip on the wrong side last night. It was only slightly more tonight and I had every intention on assisting it tonight, but I got distracted. Fast forward 30 minutes, electricity goes out. Fast forward another 30 minutes I hear a chick crying. I go over with the flashlight and that chick that has made very little progress in 24 hours has decided that the electric going out was what he needed to make his exit. 🤦‍♀️

Due to all the broody mamas I have had lately I have silkies hatching now. Colors should be blue, black, maybe some paint but no promises.

I have a Narragansett turkey egg that is looking for an incubator. $8 Picked today. 2 Toms and 2 Hens in the pen. (Pictured is not the exact egg but a recent one.) I will be posting more as I get them, until I have more incubator space available. I cant say until later this week about fertility % but last year it was near 100%. Can meet at the Saluda Traffic Circle.

Silkie, Blue Laced Red Wyandotte, and Narragansett Turkey eggs in the incubator. Chicks expected to start hatching June 3rd, poults June 10th.

So the cat unplugged incubator for 5 hours the other day, power was out at least an hour today. They are in lockdown, do you think they will hatch? Maaaybeeee
