Before & After of a Summer Landscape Transformation 🌿✨

Our client wanted to transform the side of her house but wasn’t quite sure what she wanted to do with the space. She also wanted to improve her existing garden beds. One of her biggest challenges was that her dogs loved digging in the soil and unfortunately kept destroying her plants, so she had already started using many potted plants as a solution.

We came up with a plan that would make the space beautiful, functional, and much more dog-friendly. 🐾

🌿 Our first suggestion was to create a side patio that would connect seamlessly with the walkway leading to the front entrance and the parking area.

💧 We also addressed the drainage issues by installing French drains connected to the two side downspouts. This helped redirect the water that had been collecting along the side of the house and move it away from the property.

🧱 For the garden area, we suggested adding a retaining wall behind the tree and creating a new raised planting bed that would connect with the existing garden bed surrounding the tree.

🌱 To help solve the problem with the dogs, we used flat natural stone to create raised garden beds, making it much more difficult for them to access the plants. We finished the beds with river rock, which is also less appealing for dogs to dig through.

And honestly, this is the most rewarding part of what we do. ❤️

Seeing the transformation from before to after, knowing that our clients are happy and satisfied with the work we’ve done, and leaving their home with a smile on their faces. That’s what we enjoy and love the most about our work.

Every project is an opportunity to create something beautiful, solve a problem, and make a space better for the people who live there.

Happy weekend, everyone! ☀️

These temperatures have been extremely hot, and unfortunately, they’re going to stick around for a few more days. Some of our Mum varieties are rocking this heat! 💪 (Of course, with lots of love and special care from my mom! ❤️)

Others are struggling a little more, and once these hot days are behind us, we’ll be doing a count of some of the plants we sadly lost to this extreme heat.

Please take care of yourselves and stay hydrated. The weather has been intense! 🥵💦

Meanwhile, we’re here working with so much love and excitement to grow and prepare beautiful Mums for you. 🍂🌼 Fall is just around the corner, and we can’t wait to share what we’ve been working on with all of you!
