Good evening!

I know it's been quite sometime since our last post. With the cold weather setting in there is so much more to do to keep our critters warm and safe throughout the long Winter.

Diesel made it home safe to Ebony Rose Farm and has fit right in with our pony Nubbins, and Rosie & Bessie the cows.

Both Rosie and Bessie had birthdays this month and turned 2 years old! We are hoping they will both be bred and give us some beautiful calves next year.

In other news, our home is under going a huge change starting with our kitchen. Living in a construction zone offers its own set of challenges. We are lucky enough to have a good Contractor. He an his crew have done great working around us living in their work space.

Christmas was spent with family. We unexpectedly lost a family member back in July which made Christmas bitter sweet for my husband, and his side of the family.

Hold your loved ones tight, and be grateful for every day you have with them. We wish you and your family a very Happy New Year!

Good afternoon!

Fall has arrived at Ebony Rose Farm. The mums are in bloom, and the trees look absolutely beautiful dressed in all the colors of Fall. 🍂

Our fencing project is finally done! I guess we did okay, lol We've got one more project to finish before it gets to cold.

Our Rose Bud Cottage air bnb season has come to an end. The Cottage will be shut down and prepared for next year.

We want to thank our Rose Bud Cottage airbnb guests for choosing to stay with us! Thanks also to my family for working so hard to make this a great season.. Because of all of your hard work we became Airbnb Superhosts 3 times in a row! What an honor for this being our very first season!

We had an amazing air bnb season. We met so many wonderful guests. Some we are still in touch with! Can't wait to see what next year will bring & all the future guests we will meet!

Good evening from Ebony Rose Farm! We want to thank everyone who has shared our post about our stolen goats. Unfortunately neither Macy, nor her baby have been found. We continue to hope that with your help they will find their way back home before the cold Winter begins.

The Fall season has begun, we are continuing to work on our new fence when we can. The animals are starting to grow their Winter coats and our Colony cats have begun to snuggle together on the cool Fall nights.

Our Rose Bud Cottage airbnb season will come to an end on October 31st. We have continued to host many wonderful guests. We can't wait to see what next year will bring us.

Update: Thanks to all who have shared our post, our momma & baby have not been found, a police report has been filed.

Some neighbors not far from us have also had a mother goat & her baby taken this week. Their Livestock guardian dogs are missing too. Plese continue to share, and watch your herds so this doesn't happen to you. I

f you've had any Livestock or other animals come up missing recently, please report it! Whoever is doing this needs to be caught!

Hello from Ebony Rose Farm!

It's been a crazy, busy, but wonderful Summer here on Ebony Rose Farm. We have hosted well over 100 guests at the Rose Bud Cottage, and are looking forward to meeting future guests. Our airbnb season will end on November 1st, and we will reopen May 14th of 2023.

Our Farm Cat Colony has been getting assistance from a local cat rescue. Several members have been fixed and vaccinated. They have become very popular with our guests! They often bring treats, toys, and food in hopes of meeting some of them.

As Summer fades into Fall we welcomed a surprise goat kid, and have begun to redo the fencing in our back pasture.

Good evening!

Things have been pretty busy here on Ebony Rose Farm. "The Rose Bud Cottage" and "The Bath House" are opened for the season. We've had the pleasure of hosting many wonderful guests since our season officially started on May 1st.

We've made improvements to our Cottage driveway so it's easier for our guests to find, and added some flowers to make their stay with us even more beautiful.

Hello everyone!!

It's been a very long time since we've posted. We have been very busy with babies, photo shoots, and getting things ready for the opening season of The Rose Bud Cottage on May 1st. We are pleased to share that we have been named as Superhosts by Airbnb!!

This Spring has been filled with excitement for our first full season welcoming guests at the Rose Bud Cottage, new babies, and heartache as we had to unexpectedly say goodbye to our beautiful horse, Daisey May.

Stop by Ebony Rose Farm and spend the day enjoying the animals, a picnic lunch, or a campfire,.

We've been very busy welcoming guests to The Rose Bud Cottage and have met so many wonderful guests since we opened in November.

Our Lambing/Kidding season began on January 7th, when we had 2 goat kids born to twin moms. Since then we have also welcomed 4 lambs to the Ebony Rose Farm family. We will post pics of our babies as they arrive .

So much has happened here on Ebony Rose Farm since our last post a couple of weeks ago. The Rose Bud Cottage is well on its way to being done, Hannah has settled in at college and has begun her Fall semester of classes, and the critters are enjoying the last of warm days, and cool, Fall like nights.

Good afternoon from Ebony Rose Farm!!

I know it's been awhile, we have been super busy! Between my daughters high school graduation, travel Softball Tournaments, new babies born on the farm, and the Rose Bud Cottage air bnb, the Summer has flown right by!

We have made so much progress on the Rose Bud Cottage these last 3 weeks, the electric is roughed in, the electric trench filled in, the front porch steps done, one of the walls is up, and the back porch is well on it's way to be being completed.

Next week we hope to wrap up the interior of the cottage, and start to welcome guests for the beautiful NYS Fall season!! 🍂🌻

Wether it's a farm stay, or a country get away the Rose Bud Cottage on Ebony Rose Farm has so much to offer. If you are looking for a farm stay, you are welcome to spend time with our many friendly farm animals and barn cats. Maybe groom a horse, collect fresh eggs from the chicken coop, or see what it's like to help with chores.

If a country get away is more your style, we are surrounded by 1,990 acres of state land, which includes a 10 acre pond for fishing or kayaking.
We are 2 miles from the Canisteo River which has many fishing spots and launch sites for kayaking as well!

We are located 25 minutes from historic Hammondsport NY, 30 minutes from Corning Ny, and 40 minutes from Watkins Glenn International Speedway & Watkins Glenn State Park. There are also many other small towns and state parks nearby to explore.

Once you finish your busy day, enjoy a shower in our unique outdoor bath house, and spend the evening sitting around the fire making s'more and memories with your friends and family.

Good morning from Ebony Rose Farm, hope you and your family are well!!

There has been a lot going on over these past few months, so how about some updates!!

We found a great contractor, and an electrician to begin work on the Rose Bud Cottage. The trench for the electric was dug a few weeks ago. We are excited that we will have electric run to the cottage by this weekend!!

Our critters are all doing well, and have settled in to the long, warm days of Summer.

Sadly Ebony Rose Farm had to say goodbye to our beautiful Gunsmoke (Gunny). She had been battling cancer for the last 4 years. The whole family came out to say goodbye bye, and to be there for Olivia, as Gunny has always been her baby girl.

Even though the Rose Bud Cottage hasn't been finished yet, we have spent lots of time enjoying it. This past weekend my niece, Olivia turned 20 years old! Once again the family came together to help her celebrate this mile stone.

This year our daughter Hannah is also celebrating an important mile stone, she will be graduating from High School latter this week!

We are so proud of her!! She will be continuing her education at a local community college, and was recruited to play on their Softball team!! Congratulations to Hannah!! She has worked hard and will continue to be successful!!

Good evening from Ebony Rose Farm, things are moving along with the Rose Bud Cottage air bnb experience.

Sunday the forms were taken off the concrete, it so exciting to think it will be the future home of the Rose Bud Cottage!!

Also we were pleasantly surprised by the builders and the transport company because our building arrived late this afternoon, a whole week ahead of its planned delivery date!!

Unfortunately our site proved to be way to wet from all the rain so they were unable to set our building on its slab.

Instead for the next couple of weeks it has a temporary home at the end of our driveway. When things finally dry up it will be placed in its permanent home.

Good morning from Ebony Rose Farm!! Hope you and your family are enjoying this beautiful, snowy May 1st

Progress has continued on our air b n b experience. Despite the truck's getting stuck and the steady rain that turned our yard into a mess, the concrete slab was poured yesterday morning!!

Thanks to the help of family, and neighbors with big farm tractors, this exciting next step was a sucess!!

In about a week our building will arrive, and before long we will be welcoming over night guests to Ebony Rose Farm!!

Hello and welcome back to Ebony Rose Farm! More progress has been made on our air bnb!!
The form is built, and gravel should arrive tomorrow!!

The camp fire area for our guests has been cleared, & soon we will have some chairs around our new fire pit.

Even with all the work going on today, Olivia and Hannah both found some time to ride Daisey, groom Gunny and enjoy the beautiful weather.

Our busy afternoon ended with a small camp fire and some pizza!!

Good morning from Ebony Rose Farm!! Hope all is well with you and your family!!

We have been dropping hints for awhile that some changes were coming to Ebony Rose Farm 🙂

As of Saturday, March 20th we have been granted our permit to put an air b n b on Ebony Rose Farm!!

We will be offering an all inclusive farm package were you can get your hands dirty doing chores, handling animals, or working in the garden.

If you prefer a more casual experience you can stay and just enjoy the sites and sounds of small, farm life. A camp fire pit will be available for use, bring your own smores, or let Ebony Rose Farm spoil you with a fire start up, smores package, or maybe something more romantic like locally sourced wine, cheese, and grapes by the fire light!!

We are located near many wineries, museums, historic towns, Keuka Lake, Seneca Lake, state parks and local festivals.

Nearby lies the Canisteo River with many launch and picnic sites for kayaking. Or hunting, fishing, and hiking my be your style. Over 1,000 acres of state land border Ebony Rose Farm which can be accessed without having to get in your car!

We will be offering a semi primitive cottage with electric, internet and tv access, a small, indoor bathroom with a dry flush toilet, and a sink with hot & cold running water. A kitchenette with microwave, coffee maker, toaster, and fridge. Heat, air conditioning, and a romantic gas fireplace are also on site. We have no shower or laundry facilities available at this time, but plans are in the works to make that happen in the future.

A home made breakfast prepared with eggs from our very own chickens, locally sourced milk, bacon, ham, homemade bread, syrup, and honey will also be available. We will do our best to have vegan options, and alternatives for those with food allergies.

Hello from Ebony Rose Farm!! Things have been super busy here over the last couple of months. Holidays, Birthdays, family get togethers, and every day life on the farm has made time pass so quickly!

Our calf Rosie Ann got a little sister from her birth farm. Bessie Noel joined our Ebony Rose Farm quietly a few days after Christmas.

All of our sheep have had their lambs, a few of our goats have kidded as well, but Baby Season isn't quite over yet!! 🐐

Our Summer project is getting closer to starting. Soon many people will be able to spend time out in the country side, get to know our critters, and maybe spend some time in our new vegetable and herb garden!

It's been a couple of days since the snow storm. With the help of our neighbors we have managed to dig out of the 18 inches of snow we received and life has returned to normal on Ebony Rose Farm.

Our new guest, a 9 month old thoroughbred philly named "Eclipse", arrived last night and seems to be fitting in well. Our horses have been curious, but kind. Hopefully they will all form a lasting friendship.

It hasn't been all work & no play though. Hannah found some fun riding a bag of wood shavings down the hill to the barn!!

Good morning!!

Hope you & your families are safe and well!! As the post Thanksgivings Covid-19 spike continues to grow, the school district I drive school bus for has decided to go all virtual until early January 2021.

There is always a lot to do, inside and out on Ebony Rose Farm. Hopefully I will be able to catch up on a few things and develop a business plan that will change what Ebony Rose Farm has to offer.

We are expecting the first big storm of the Winter season, and are making sure our critters will be safe and warm as they are predicting high winds and power outages during this Nor' Easter winter storm.❄🌬

Hope your Thanksgiving was filled with family, friends, and much to be thankful for. 🦃🍂

A few changes have already begun here at Ebony Rose Farm. Sky the mini steer we were fostering, went to his new, permanent, forever home. 🐃

Even though he will be missed Ebony Rose is already making room for a brand new guest!! Check in in a few days and join us in welcoming her to Ebony Rose Farm.🐎

A few years ago one of our beautiful trees was uprooted, we got most of it cleaned up, with help from my husband's family, but the tree stood back up before we could finish leaving a 40ft stump in our yard.

Yesterday my niece Emily, with her other half Paul, finally took the rest of the stump out of our yard. What a difference it made!! We can't thank them enough!

Also new at Ebony Rose Farm is a barn kitty condo made from a repurposed vintage chicken nest box. We love preserving the past when we can, and thought this would be a nice addition for our barn kitties. 🐈🐓

With morning chores done, and our bellies full of Thanksgiving left overs, (for the 3rd day in a row, 😊) we decided to take some time and relax for a change.

My husband and my nephew enjoy playing the Playstation to relax. Today they discovered a new baseball fan in the family, lol!
