Alright y’all, I finally have an update for this year!🥳🥳

SURPRISE: I moved again 🤪 I’m now located in Battle Creek! with that said I do not have my pens together right now. And with the move I doubt any of the girls will start laying any time soon.

But I will be offering very limited chicks this year and mostly focusing on hatching eggs.

I will only be offering hens choice hatching eggs. They’ll mostly be frizzled blue black and splash but I’ll try and throw in a couple eggs from partridge project pen.

But I hate taking pics so enjoy a video of everybody in their temporary pen🐣🐔

I know it may be silly but this girl is my oldest Cochin I have! She’s going on 5 years old and is the last Cochin from my original flock❤️ and get this, she consistently lays an egg roughly every other day from the months of Feb- Oct. I don’t get attached to the chickens just because they can be fragile but I will never sell her she will live out her years in my care. But damn she still looks good and she’s not even fully fluffed up😂

ATTENTION due to MAJOR predator issues I will not have grow outs this year… the raccoons have killed 70% of my chicks this year. I’ve done everything I can to stop them but with it being just me and working full time it’s extremely difficult. I have absolutely 0 partridge grow outs. so this year was basically for nothing for them… I’m beyond frustrated as I’ve trapped 7+raccoons this year alone and possums. I’ve reinforced my pens to the best I can and I’m just over it…
