Did you know strawberries are so called because if you tuck straw (not hay which has w**d seeds!) up under them, it keeps the berries up out of the mud, discourages snails of slugs or pests bc its pokey, and helps conserve soil moisture the berries need to grow big and fat? Now you do! 🍓
