Now I'm not a whiskey drinker normally, but when in Tennessee you have to try Tennessee Legend Distillery in Downtown Cookeville. They have a FREE TASTING room with bottles of different liqueurs and alcohols that will blow your mind! They have a coffee whiskey that by itself is awesome, but with an added splash of Salted Caramel Whiskey and Crème Brûlée Liqueur the resulting cocktail was divine.

Crossville, Tennessee is a quaint and beautiful community with a rural and serene atmosphere. The city is known for its surprisingly high number of golf courses, due to which it is also called the "Golf Capital of Tennessee."

On top of that, Crossville is quite bountiful in terms of shopping outlets, museums, outdoor trails, parks, and restaurants. It is also home to a couple of wineries - Stonehaus and Chestnut Hill.

You will find lots of action with kayaking and canoeing with a wide range of difficulty levels in the Crossville-Upper Cumberland region of Tennessee. Tennessee boasts 221 rivers and 601 gauges to fulfill your kayaking and canoeing aspirations.

Just south of Sparta is Fall Creek Falls State Park with 15 great trails for hiking and more.
Trails ranging from 49 to 1,958 feet in elevation gain. Whatever you have planned for the day, you can find the perfect trail for your next trip to Fall Creek Falls State Park.

With over 20,000 acres, this beautiful park sprawls across the eastern top of the Cumberland Plateau; the dense oak and hickory forest, cascades, gorges, waterfalls, and streams will leave visitors breathless. Make sure to visit White Fall Creek Falls, the highest waterfall in the eastern United States at 256 feet high. Other waterfalls include: Piney and Cane Creek Falls and Cane Creek Cascades. There is a plethora of flora and fauna to enjoy as well.

For adventure seekers, Fall Creek Falls features cabins and campsites, backcountry camping (with permit), more than 56 miles of hiking trails for day use or backcountry hiking, environmental programs for schools, a popular golf course, the Canopy Challenge Course which includes: bridges, rope swings, balance beams, and zip lines. If you want even more to do, there are four playgrounds, picnic pavilions, and an Olympic-sized pool. For souvenirs, there are two gift shops for all of your gift-giving needs.

Cookeville is having a fabulous harvest festival this upcoming weekend! There will lots of fun things to do for the entire family. Starts Friday through Saturday the 9th and the 10th. Highlights from last year below.
