Big, Meaty, Phillys is making its second appearance this week and will be back at TCB tonight from 4–7 pm!

Looks like we'll see some light rain throughout the day, but don't let a few raindrops keep you away. We've got cold beer, dry seating, and some of the best cheesesteaks around waiting for you.

Boom! 💥🌿

Here's what happens when the flavor hops hit the boil kettle during a Tri City Brewing brew day.

That explosion of green hoppiness is where so much of the flavor and aroma in the finished beer begins. It's one of our favorite moments on brew day—and the smell is incredible!

Ever wonder what a brew day looks like at Tri City Brewing?

Every great beer starts with high-quality malted barley. Depending on the style we're brewing, we mash in anywhere from 800 to 1,200 pounds of grain, often using several different varieties of malt to create the color, body, and flavor profile we're looking for.

Once the mash is complete, the sweet liquid known as wort is transferred to the brew kettle where it is brought to a boil. Hops are added at different points throughout the boil, each addition contributing bitterness, flavor, and aroma to the finished beer.

And then comes one of the most memorable parts of brew day - emptying the mash tun! Ask any brewer and they'll tell you it's a workout you never forget.

After the boil is complete, the wort is cooled and transferred into one of our fermenters where yeast is added and the real magic begins. Over the next several days (or weeks), the yeast transforms that sweet wort into the beer you eventually enjoy in your glass.

The next time you stop in for a pint, remember that every beer begins with a long day, quality ingredients, a little science, and a whole lot of passion.
