What. A. Week.

I don’t think any of us could have imagined what this wedding week would look like. Planning a wedding with a hurricane approaching certainly wasn’t on the agenda.

There have been a lot of prayers, a lot of uncertainty, and more than a few stressful moments.

But there has also been something incredible about watching a family, surrounded by people who love them, lean so completely on their faith.

I’ve known this sweet bride’s mama for years, and I’ve loved getting to know her daughter throughout this process. From the beginning, their heart has been for this day to be as much about worship as it is about their marriage. And I love that I get to be a part of it.

Now, after a week none of us will forget, I’m surrounded by some of the most beautiful flowers, preparing to bring this bride’s vision to life.

Tomorrow, these two get married.

And I cannot wait to put the finishing touches on a day we’ve all prayed so hard for. 🤍

One of the last homecoming presentation bouquets to leave the studio today. 💐

First, I cannot thank y’all enough for the overwhelming support this week. The orders, shares, messages, and encouragement have been absolutely incredible.

I also want to apologize to anyone I haven’t been able to respond to. It has been just me handling flowers this week, and between the unexpected homecoming changes, an incredible amount of new orders, and a wedding this weekend, I’ve been stretched pretty thin. But I am SO grateful.

If you’ve already messaged me and are still interested in flowers for next week, feel free to give your original message a thumbs-up or send me another quick message. I’ll be catching up with everyone by Sunday evening!

Now, let me tell y’all about the flowers I STILL have coming!

Several of my shipments were delayed, with boxes arriving today and more coming tomorrow. And because I also have a wedding this weekend, the selection is honestly ridiculous.

If you know anything about me, you know how particular I am about my flowers. I hand-select my varieties, and I am extremely picky about what I order.

We’re talking gorgeous Café au Lait dahlias, beautiful whites and creams, stunning roses in the prettiest shades of blush and mauve, stock, larkspur, Bells of Ireland, hydrangeas, and greenery that would absolutely blow your mind.

It is quite literally a buffet of some of the most beautiful flowers I can get my hands on. And because I have a habit of ordering WAY too much for weddings, there is going to be plenty of gorgeousness to go around.

So PLEASE don’t forget about me next week!

After the week we’ve all had and this hurricane that decided to show up out of nowhere, I can’t think of a better reason to brighten somebody’s day.

I genuinely do not have the words for what has happened today.

For six years, this town and so many people across Baldwin County have supported us, encouraged us, shared our name, walked through our doors, trusted us with their moments and continued showing up for our little business.

But today was different.

What started as me simply trying to figure out what to do with flowers that were already on their way turned into hundreds of shares, hundreds of new faces finding my page, messages coming in faster than I could answer them, and order after order from people who simply wanted to help.

Some of you have known me for years. Some of you had never heard my name until today.

And you still showed up.

Small businesses survive because people decide they matter. Because a community chooses to rally around them. Because somebody shares a post, tags a friend, places an order, sends a message, or simply says, “I’ve got you.”

Today, y’all did all of it.

Bay Minette, Baldwin County and every single person who has shared, ordered, messaged, prayed, encouraged or sent someone my way, thank you.

I don’t know if I’ve ever felt more accepted than I did today.

I will never get over this. Truly.

Y’all, I need a little help.

Homecoming was rescheduled because of the weather, but unfortunately the flowers were not. Every flower for these girls’ bouquets has already been ordered, paid for, and is on the way.

I’m trying my absolute best to recover as much of that cost as I can so I can turn around and put it back toward their flowers for the new homecoming date.

So if you need flowers this weekend, please come buy some from me. For your kitchen. Your mama. Your best friend. Yourself. I truly do not care where they go, I just need these flowers to have somewhere to go. 😭

I’ll have fresh wrapped bouquets available this weekend in several sizes and price points.

I’ve had so many people reaching out asking if we sell our eucalyptus. Absolutely, we do!

Honestly, this is why I grow so much of it. The more I cut, the more it grows. 😅

We love our wholesale suppliers, but y’all… it’s hard to beat eucalyptus this fresh. 😅 And we have SO much of it.

So florist friends, spread the word! If you need fresh eucalyptus this week, I can meet Tuesday or Wednesday, or deliver for an additional fee.

I absolutely love getting feedback, but this kind? This does my heart so good. 🥹

I’m completely self-taught, and if y’all only knew how many times I’ve questioned myself. Imposter syndrome is REAL.

So when somebody takes the time to send me something like this, it means more than they probably realize.

And I think we all need that sometimes. If you love something somebody did, tell them. If something made you happy, say it. Share it. Pass their name along. Those little things matter so much to a small business.

And this may sound crazy, but weddings almost feel easier sometimes. By the time wedding day gets here, I know the bride, I know the vision, and we’ve talked through every little detail.

Homecoming and prom? Sometimes I get a dress color, a budget, and just have to create. And to a teenager, that’s their big day too. For some, it may be one of the biggest days they have until their wedding day. So yes, I absolutely overthink those little bouquets too.

I can do the flowers and the work, but I can’t do all of the growing by myself.

So keep the feedback coming. The good, the bad, all of it. I can take it.

We handled everything but the cooking. Florals, tables, candlelight, draping, serving pieces, and all the little details in between. Every layer of it was ours.

Still one of my favorite nights we’ve ever created.
