Started harvesting red onions and leeks this weekend. Sorry for the lack of post lately . My social media department was burnt out and did not feel like posting after 2 inches of hail that wiped out my watermelons and cantaloupes. It’s amazing how many jobs a farmer really has to do Social media ,marketing, planting harvesting ,secretary ,mechanic engineer ,plumber ,food safety expert, scientists, biology ,weather man . I am Sure I missed a few but my point is that it should not be that way. It’s amazing people even choose to be farmer we must be insane

🚫 STRICTLY PROHIBITED:
Open burning (including burn barrels and agricultural burning).

Fireworks & Explosives of any kind.

✅ WHAT IS ALLOWED (With Exceptions):
Gas & Liquid Propane Grills: Allowed only if they have a pressurized shut-off valve.
Pellet Smokers: Allowed on private property only if they have an enclosed firebox and a 20-foot radius cleared of all vegetation.
Chainsaws & Internal Combustion Engines: Allowed only if equipped with a properly functioning spark arrestor, and you must have an 8oz extinguisher and a shovel immediately available.
Welding/Torch Work: Only allowed with written authorization or under strict 20-foot clearing safety zones with a dedicated fire watch and extinguisher on hand.

⚠️ Consequences
Violations are considered a Class 2 petty offense, carrying fines starting at $500 for a first offense, up to $1,000 for subsequent offenses, plus potential liability for the full cost of fire suppression or property damage.
