The ideal candidate for the Purchasing Assistant position must always be professional, great at multitasking, and have a great attitude. The applicant is required to have standards knowledge with computers and quality with great communication skills. Must be willing to work as a team in our office & factory floor. Working schedule Monday-Friday and twice a month you will work Saturday's half a day. Preferably be bilingual (English & Spanish).
Some of the responsibilities include:
Perform administrative duties for the purchasing team
Order ingredients & supply for the company
Filing purchase orders
Examine current inventory levels to determine restocking needs; assist in identifying items needing attention
Prepare purchase orders, and other purchasing documents as needed
Process requests to purchase job-specific items to all specification requirements
Answering phones and directing calls accordingly
Guarantee purchase orders and other purchasing documents clearly and accurately convey the needs of the company
Monitor shipments to assure that goods arrive on time
Manage lead time product is arriving with time to the facility
Check pricing on product, ingredients seeing if pricing rising and lowering
Check lead time with vendors when order is placed
Check and keep updated product inventory
Check incoming/outgoing ingredients for supervisors
Filing documents
Be Microsoft skilled (outlook, word, excel, power-point)
Learning the position of front desk, attending walk in customers, handling money, communicating with buyers, and driver's route.
