🫐 Blueberry Season Update 🫐

The final score for the 2026 blueberry season:

Late Frost: 75%
Birds: 24%
My 2-year-old grandson: 1%
Everyone else: 0%

Unfortunately, we've run out of berries and will be closing for Pick-Your-Own this year.

After nearly 20 years of growing blueberries, this is the first season we've had to throw in the towel. Between the late frost and a very enthusiastic flock of birds, there simply weren't enough berries to open for picking.

The good news is that with such a light crop this year, the bushes have been able to put more energy into growth instead of fruit production. We're optimistic that will lead to stronger plants and a banner crop next year.

Thank you for your support and understanding. We'll spend the next 11 months negotiating with Mother Nature, educating the birds on property rights, and making sure my grandson doesn't eat the entire 2027 crop himself.

See you next year! 🫐

🫐 Blueberry Season Update 🫐

After nearly 20 years of dodging late frosts, Mother Nature finally got us this spring.

A late freeze wiped out about 75% of our blueberry crop, leaving us with far fewer berries than usual. The good news is that we still have blueberries to pick—the bad news is that finding them may feel a little more like a treasure hunt this year!

Because berries are limited and picking takes longer than normal, all Pick-Your-Own visits will be by appointment only. Please contact us before heading out so we can give you an update on current picking conditions and schedule a time for your visit.

If you're planning to come, bring a little extra patience, enjoy the fresh air, and remember that every berry you find this year is a survivor.

We appreciate everyone's understanding and continued support of our farm. Here's hoping Mother Nature decides to cooperate a little better next season!

Thanks, and happy picking! 🫐

Despite the late frost, which reduced our berry crop by about 30%, things are beginning to blue up nicely. The first blueberries should be ready for picking around the middle of June.
