Happy August 1st, flower friends! I want to share something with you all...
Some of you know that I have been struggling. My cancer recurred in early May and I started chemo again in June. This time has been rough. Really nauseous, lots of weight loss and several small bowel obstructions leading to hospital stays.
My husband, father in law and others have helped plant and w**d my flowers. My seedlings and seeds got planted late, have battled wet feet, hot temperatures and wind, they've been neglected and not fertilized like normal. I've been able to keep up with the bare minimum and have loved watching them bloom and to make special arrangements for many of you brings me so much joy despite my poor health.
But you know what? The flowers didnt care that they weren't coddled like normal.
Those flowers grew! Those flowers were created to bring joy; to bloom and grow; to fly their banners in the sky in praise to the heavens!
Today a group of special ladies gathered at my flower farm to do what I currently cannot. They harvested, conditioned and arranged a large number of bouquets to sell and help spread joy to others. But more than that, they gathered to support me. I am so very blessed and loved.
Thank you, ladies! Love you!
