🌧️ Day 4: Final Day of Farm Club 🌧️

A little rain and a slight chill didn’t stop my little explorers this morning. We spent time outside playing in the rain and in our newly built “swampland “ and realized how fun it can be on a rainy day.
Today, I didn’t get many photos, but there are so many memories and so much fun.

When the weather sent us indoors, the creativity really turned on. Together, we built a fort with what we had on hand and what would fit in the space. We also designed our own target game using tape and paper plates, spending plenty of time testing our throwing skills (hand-eye coordination).

One of my favorite moments was gathering in the teepee to create special thank-you cards for mom and write about our favorite memories from the week. Reading their notes was a reminder of why I created Farm Club and how grateful I am for this week.
Once the sun came out, we went back outside to play numerous games, blow bubbles, and maybe play in a few more mud puddles. 💦

The greatest compliment of all came when I asked what their favorite part of Farm Club had been. One of them answered, “Everything.”
When children are sad that it’s over, you know you’ve created something special.

Thank you to these amazing young adventurers for a week filled with imagination, exploration, laughter, creating, and memories. ❤️

🌿🌻 Farm Club Day 3 🌻🌿
I can’t believe we are already down to just ONE day left!
Today was packed full of adventure, exploration, and hands-on learning. We spent time running through the rows of Christmas trees, collecting treasures in our buckets for a “float or not float” experiment. The kids gathered sticks, rocks, pinecones, and other natural items and made predictions before testing them in water.
We took a walk to visit the milkweed patch and learned all about the incredible journey of how a caterpillar transforms into a butterfly. Along the way, we identified different types of beetles living in our habitat and talked about the important role insects play in nature.
One of our favorite projects was collecting pinecones to roll in peanut butter and birdseed to create treats for the birds. We also used many of the natural items we collected to create artwork and paint with nature.
Our adventure continued with a long hike down to the bog area in search of frogs. While we didn’t find any frogs today, we discovered something just as exciting, the biggest wish weeds I’ve ever seen !
The kids also got to experience a little farm-to-table foraging by tasting sweet clover, dandelion, and even pine needles. There were plenty of surprised faces and a few brave taste testers!
As always, the day seemed to fly by.
Watching the kids explore, ask questions, make discoveries, and simply enjoy being outdoors has been such a joy.
I’d call Farm Club a success. The kids have been happy, engaged, curious, and excited to learn. That’s exactly what I hoped for when I created this experience.
Now we’re off to enjoy our final day together tomorrow. ❤️🌿

🌿🌻 I can't believe we are already TWO days into Farm Club! 🌻🌿

Over the last two days, we've been busy exploring, building, creating, and learning through play. What started as a giant tub full of random parts quickly turned into engineering projects.
The kids worked together to create a working waterfall, dig a pond, build bridges, and design their own habitats (swampland) while learning all about ecosystems and how living things depend on one another.

We also learned about some of the beetles that call our farm home. The kids were full of questions as we examined their colors, shapes, and movements before returning them to nature.

One of our favorite projects was making "edible mud," where we practiced measuring ingredients, following directions, and helping one another. Side note... it looked much better than it tasted! 🤣

We learned about clouds using shaving cream and water.
What began as a science lesson quickly turned into a shaving cream adventure filled with laughter, messy fun, and creative play I am sure the kids will never forget.

The kids planted sunflowers and we talked about what helps sunflowers grow :sunshine, water, healthy soil, and a little patience. 🌻

From an adult point of view, we worked on engineering, sensory exploration, problem-solving, teamwork, habitat design, science, and creativity. But if you asked the kids, they'd probably just tell you they spent the day having FUN. I can say the "camp counselors" have had just as much fun as the kids.

The best learning often happens when children are busy building, questioning, experimenting, and imagining and these last two days have been full of all four.

Watching them run, explore, laugh, connect, build, imagine, and simply be kids brings so much joy to my heart and that is EXACTLY why it was created.

I can't wait to see what adventures tomorrow brings and to share photos from the week.

Weekend Pet Crew 🐾

Just another day at the office… except my coworkers had four legs, feathers, and one had a shell. 🐾🐔🐢

I had the pleasure of caring for THREE different pet families this weekend. ❤️❤️❤️

The weekend included dogs, cats, chickens, and my newest turtle “friend.” although I don’t think he felt the same way. 🤣
There were plenty of walks, lap snuggles, clucks from the chicken coop, and a whole lot of personality packed into a few days.

One of my canine clients looked like he started every morning with a meditation session, positive affirmations, and a cup of coffee before greeting the world. 🧘‍♂️😂 I love his lookout on life, just love and go with the flow ❤️
The local deer weren’t bothered at all and they pay zero attention to people or dogs .
They casually wandered through the yard while the dogs sat and watched them like they were enjoying a tv series . 🦌🐕😂

Every animal has their quirks, and that is one of my favorite parts of what I do. Getting to care for your furry, feathered, and sometimes shelled family members is such a privilege.
