Late September calls for apple crisp. Our Gala apples are perfectly ripe in late September—sweet, crisp, and just tart enough to make the perfect fall dessert. Pick up a few and turn them into this simple Gala Apple Crisp:

Toss the apples with the filling ingredients and spread into a baking dish. Mix the topping ingredients until crumbly, then sprinkle over the apples. Bake at 350°F for 40–45 minutes, until golden and bubbling.

Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, and suddenly it’s officially fall.

Stop by BrixStone Farms for perfectly ripe Gala and make the most of apple season while it lasts!
