Next week is Hunter Safety Education Week. During the summer is the perfect time to get you or your kids hunter safety certified to be ready for the hunting seasons this fall.

More than 50 classes will be offered Aug. 10-16 to give hunters an opportunity to be prepared for the upcoming seasons. Registration is open and details can be found in the comments.

If you're taking a new hunter out this year, or if you're new yourself, we hope you'll take advantage of these classes. Hunter safety education teaches lifelong skills and sets you up for a future of enjoying hunting in Michigan.

✨SHOP LOCAL!!!

Betty here…..Yep we did it!!!!! I did all my cute stuff and my mom did all the dirty work and she got the job done, but not without the help of Lake It Here, Abloom Nymphaea Salon & all those that work there…Kelsey, Shayla, Krista & Shanna, Niizh Makayla Traders, Filer Credit Union, Bear Lake Soap Company, Lakeside Cafe & local Officials. Businesses are open during this construction and parking available on Lynn Street, you can ask for assistance crossing the street from any guard, Mdot or Elmer’s Employee. There are walking paths where the sidewalk is dug up. It’s a mess but we will be open our reg hours. 11-5 on friday, 11-5 on Saturday and 12-3 on Sunday. We need you now more than ever. July is our time and a bad July is not something we can handle. So let’s work together and make this happen during this trying time. We will be closed our usual on Monday. And keep checking fb for updates on open/closed info. We maybe small town but we are mighty and stick together!!!!! See ya tomorrow….and yes I will be there in the afternoon after I do some volunteer work. Debbie will be there to help you as needed.
