Good Morning, first jar of Garlic Dill Pickles going to the basement to ferment for 2 weeks put in a couple of Jalapeno peppers this time. Karen snapped 8 pounds of green beans to go with the 4 pounds already frozen. Karen made Pepper Steak one night this week with my deer steak sandwich meat, it was just as good as the london broil. The price of steak is out of sight so I said to try making pepper steak with the steak sandwich meat. I don't eat cheesesteaks much any more.

The garden is kicking into giving us a good harvest. Green beans we have had two meals now enough to freeze almost 5 pounds The Suyo Long cucumbers are out of control from a half row 25 foot. The tomatoes are producing, and Karen did a run of Matt's Pizza Sauce. She yeilded 11 pints just shy of a case. Karen bought an immersion blender she says it's a game changer for doing pizza sauce. Happy wife equals good life. I hope she let me use it when I make Henry's BBQ sauce

Good Morning, first canning run this season, my pickled jalapeno peppers (cowboy candy). Waiting for the jars to sterilize in the steam canner. That steam canner sure is alot easier than water bath.

Well the garden season has come Karen picked a peck of peppers today, so time to dehydrate them for Sloppy Joe's this winter. She is going to make another batch of cucumber salad. Tomatoes should be coming soon, that is when the work begins. Matt's Pizza Sauce and Henry's BBQ sauce need to be refilled for winter.

Good morning to everyone, hoping all are well. I took some pictures of the garden. Karen has been doing most of the daily chores. The cucumber plants have gone crazy, bells, yellow banana, and jalapeno peppers are starting to produce. The tomatoes are starting to blush, so it should be soon for them to produce. Looks like I'll be making some pickled Jalapeno pepper to can first. The garden is doing well as we got a late start on planting.

Hello, some photos from the garden. This year it has been a team effort to get things growing. Karen has done so much from keeping plants alive when I was in hospital, to getting plants planted after I went back to work. She has kept plants alive with her watering. We have harvested one cuccumber and some yellow banana peppers. I should be more help as I start a new job on Monday. I will be working a lot closer to home.

Good morning, first asparagus cutting of the season. Now I have to get out there and w**d the patch. Karen said the couple of spears I cut before the frost a week ago were sweet. I guess I'll cut some for the salads I take to work for lunch. I went back to work Wednesday 5 weeks after 3 bypass surgery. Feeling great until I sneeze, bad timing with the pollen season coming.
