Elkader and Zumbrota teamed up to design and build a post-frame, tunnel-ventilated freestall barn, giving 200 fresh cows a dedicated space closer to the existing barns and parlor.

The barn features sand-bedded freestalls, rubber flooring in the drover’s alley, a center drive alley for feeding, and a temperature-controlled ventilation system designed to keep cows comfortable through both summer and winter conditions.

Meet Hazen Loan! He's part of the Drafting and Estimating team. After growing up milking cows for local dairy producers and earning a degree in Agricultural Systems Technology from Iowa State University, Hazen joined Midwest Livestock to help bring farmers’ ideas to life.

Working closely with the sales team, Hazen creates accurate drawings and estimates that help turn customer ideas into complete, functional building projects. His role sets projects up for success while giving producers a clear path from idea to a building that fits their operation.

This year, our Menomonie location had the opportunity to support the Bohl family and visit them and their animals at the Northern Wisconsin State Fair, where our team enjoyed learning more about their experiences, challenges, and passion for farming, livestock, and showing.
