Summer is finally here, and with summer comes running donors, family time in the pasture, weaning and working the new set of calves, all while soaking up some sun!

Chyka Lane Cattle made an appearance at preschool today! 📚✏️🍎

We have been fortunate enough over the past few years to have made a few visits and share our cattle at different schools and it couldn’t be more fun!

It was so fun today to be able to see the preschoolers faces light up when they got to see and pet our heifer, “Blackberry”!

Any day where kids and students get to gain some knowledge about beef cattle is a good day! 🤩

Having some time to reflect on some warmer + enjoyable times here at Chyka Lane during our winter blizzard storm that just blew through, we thought we would share some of the memories with you! ❄️🌨️

We truly are a “start to finish” operation. We love every aspect of raising cattle on the cow/calf side of the business- being out in the pasture with the cows and bettering our herd every day.

Once the calves get to a certain age, the fun begins with weaning, feeding, breaking, clipping, selling, and showing these calves. There is not really one thing we could pick out and say “this is our favorite part of the cattle business” - because each aspect brings something unique to the table. And we love it all! 🤍
