I did my first hive inspection for 2022 (sorry no pictures or videos) the queen in our surviving hive is laying there’s brood in all stages of development. It appears to be a very healthy hive for early spring. I even saw some bees bringing in pollen ( no flowers yet) but I gave them some pollen substitute to help them along. There is still a lot of honey in the hive which I may have to harvest if it is still there when the nectar flow begins. I don’t want them to get honey bound. I’ll video my next inspection. I’m hoping to get to split this hive early this year. Stay tuned.

We are located in Susquehanna twp, PA. We don’t feed our bees sugar or chemicals or use chemicals anywhere on our property and We don’t do comb honey it takes to many resources from the bees. Also We only take their surplus We always leave them with plenty of honey to get them through the summer dearth and the winter. We only use the most bee friendly and ethical methods of bee keeping and honey harvesting that we can and are always looking to improve those methods. We are not commercial bee keepers. We’ve never had more than eight colonies. The only reason We take any honey from them is so that they don’t become “ honey bound”. Furthermore only reason we have any honey to sell is we have more than we can ever use so we’re sharing it with those who would like some. We are not trying to make a profit We are merely trying to recoup our expenses so that we can continue to keep bees. We are dedicated to the preservation of the Honeybee and saving our pollinators. As you can see out focus is the holistic approach. If you would like to learn more about beekeeping we are always happy to share our knowledge with others.

Spring honey is bottled , in units of 16 oz/ 1 lb. This is raw unpasteurized which retains all of its immunologic, medicinal, and antiseptic properties. I have to brag, i tasted against raw mass farm honey and our honey is definitely above and beyond! More complex, less clover, and includes peach blossom, florals etc... delicious! $10 per bottle. (Note: we are ethical beekeepers, we do not take all our bees' honey. We only remove excess honey. We do not feed them sugar.)

Sorry everyone I tried to do a Facebook live but only got 4 minutes done. My GoPro is not working for videos and apparently my phone can’t do Facebook live. But the bees are doing fine and we are definitely going to have a spring harvest off of one hive. That’s not usually expected from a first year hive. Amazing!!

New bees have been installed! They are getting oriented to their new home.
We went and picked up our package bees yesterday and installed them. Today it seems as if they are settling in nicely. Two more days and I’ll pull the queen cages and inspect for eggs. Can’t wait to show you how they are doing very excited for our new bees.
We are so excited because new bees are coming!! New bees are coming!! We are getting new bees for 2021. New videos to come. We’re excited because we have been bee less for the past season. Stay tuned!!!!
