Got my greenhouse cleaned out and tilled the ground inside & ready for planting in a couple months…..hurry up Spring ! Sold around 50 Christmas trees this season, which is my average.

Going to the Corning Farmers market for the next few Thursdays from 10-2.
I’ll have lots of red potatoes, garlic and onions to sell.
We have 25 bushels of fresh dug red potatoes here at the farm. Half bushels are $10 and a ful bushel $20.
We’ve been cleaning garlic and letting it dry for the past two weeks. I’ve been selling it at Bath and Painted Post markets, plus our farm stand.

Planting non-stop now. Potatoes, beans, beets, cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, dukes, summer/winter squash, corn. The garlic is 3 feet high and sprouting scape pods now. Unfortunately we need more sun & warm nights instead of more rain !
Bonnie & I planted around 1500 onions & shallots yesterday.
Garlic and Asparagus is also up growing fast now.
We've sold over 30 trees so far and lots left to choose from. Wish the weather would cooperate ! Only one week till Christmas !

I have lots of red potatoes for sale at $15 per bushel. Still have to dig out the whites as it's been very wet.
Still planting......potatoes, winter squash, pumpkins, sweet corn, broccoli, & cukes. Bonnie has been picking the garlic scapes off and giving them away to anyone who wants them. They are good in salads, soups, burgers, pasta, etc.
Finally able to start planting. Got some beets and string beans planted yesterday & hope to get sweet corn in today.
Finally got my USDA grant to put up a high tunnel greenhouse. Can't wait to put it up later in the year.

Went to the Bath farmers market today and sold a lot of garlic, beets, broccoli, and squash. A beautiful day.
Garlic is all dug out and have now stated the cleaning process, which Mel helps me do each year.
I've been digging out garlic this past week and it's all looking good this year, so will have lots to sell.
Had a good day at Painted Post Farmers market. Not a lot to sell yet but everyone liked the strawberries.
Planted around 180 tomatoes and 60 cabbage plants today compliments of the Ort farm. Thanks Roger and Maria.
A busy week here on the farm. Sprayed the Christmas tress yesterday for airborne fungus, planted some green/ yellow beans, gladiolus bulbs, summer squash, onions and radish. The garlic crop is looking real good...should be lots to sell this year. Going to plant sweet corn tomorrow.
Selling lots of trees so far this month. It must be due to the nice weather we are having. However, the fields are wet and somewhat muddy as the ground isn't frozen yet.

I finished pruning Christmas trees yesterday...a major summer project completed. Anyone who wants to tag a tree before the snow and cold arrive are welcome to stop by.
