WELCOME to the Farm

MEML Honeybee (10957185)
Fullblood ABGA doe
Confirmed bred to MADI-TRV Vibe Check (10986570)
due to kid January 4, 2027

When Maddie decided to narrow her herd down to her quality breeding does after graduating she made some tough cuts and really reduced her numbers. With the hope to find a great doe to add if one came along. Well, huge shoutout to Memory Lane Boer Goats for having just what she was waiting for and allowing her the opportunity. And being bred to MADI-TRV Vibe Check to boot. Maddie has been wanting a Vibe Check baby in a real bad way ;-) Her money was saved and she was ready to bring a good one home. She may already have plans bouncing around in her head for those babies that hit the ground.

Match up #4 ..... the final match

BFAT Sweet Carolina Reaper "Caroline"
x
Croft Performance Hardy Boy

Oh, our sweet Caroline 😁❤ Personality plus.... She is a favorite for sure and currently the only Fullblood we have. So this cross is really exciting for us as we potentially lean a little more into the Fullblood lines.

Caroline is a feminine doe with good overall balance and structural correctness. Our hope is that crossing her with a masculine buck like Hardy Boy will add just a tad more substance and depth to the chest and a stronger topline to their progeny. If that all comes together, we will have some quality kids on the ground from this pair.

Holding our breath and crossing our fingers until January 2027 rolls around. If you could add the demeanor and personality of these two into the kids as well... man you'd have quite the set of kids. LOL. These two goats are some of the friendliest and most personable ones I've been around.

Match up #3 .... Due January 2027

4TFM Pick Your Poison "Voo Doo"
x
CSG4 Dark By Design

Not gonna lie... I am excited about this cross 😊

Voo Doo is a well built doe. She is growing into herself nicely and has so many positive qualities to offer. Crossing her with CSG4 Dark By Design was an easy decision. He is a little longer bodied with that extra bone and thickness that will only improve upon Voo Doo's already stout confirmation.

Hoping for some quality kids out of this cross. They both have great pedigrees, so to combine them was a no brainer.

Match #2

Croft Performance Hardy Boy

Dee Dee has been a favorite of mine since she hit the ground. She came out built stout and sturdy and has only continued to grow and improve. Crossing her with Hardy Boy seemed to be a good option when all of the progeny we’ve seen from his bloodlines has been impressive as well.

Any wait for this January 2027 cross to arrive. These should be some quality kids.

Match up #1 …. Due January 2027

4NBG Polly’s Miss Muffin
X
4TFM Order Up

Order is a nice stout built Buck. He’s really grown into himself and has the bone structure and features we like. His overall size and mass should add to any doe he crosses with.
Crossing Order with Muffin was Maddie’s choice. Muffin is built broad and level but adding a little more bone density to her kids will make for some truly great progeny.

💥Who do you think the matches were of the Nielsen Boer Goat does and WB Boer Goats bucks? 😃

WB Boer Goats has an awesome lineup of ABGA Fullblood bucks this year. So why wouldn't we send our best does that direction for the breeding season.

We are beyond excited to see what the these crosses produce for us in January 🥇🏆

We've been busy this month. And I haven't kept up on our page well. Here is the update as of today.

Maddie and I were able to go visit one of the local 4-H youngsters this morning to give her some pointers and assistance with showing and clipping her breeding doe for fair.

Being in a smaller rural area, we knew the family but didn’t really know them. But we were still very willing to help out 😊 one of things that we really hope is that when kids come into fair with a project, that they are set up to have a successful experience and they will want to come back and do it again. We love seeing kids succeed ❤️

When parents or kids reach out looking for any help or tips we always try to make it a point to help out if we can. We don’t care if they are part of our 4-H club or not 😊 We never claim to know it all, but will always help you find the answer or figure it out.

Because:
#1 We needed A LOT of help when Maddie started showing goats and we were able to find some amazing people that stepped up. And a lot of those people are still our go-to goat friends 😁
#2 That’s part of being a 4-H Leader and for Maddie being a 4-H youth herself. It’s what you’re supposed to do. How to people learn without asking questions?? 🤷🏻‍♀️
#3 Watching those younger kids come into fair with even just a tad more confidence is awesome. And when they see Maddie and know they can come ask her for help at fair and seeing her go over their goats with them or give them pointers before they enter the show ring really makes me feel good 😊 ❤️
