CLARA LIVE 🐂Beaver County Awarded Superior Steel Sales Stickout Sale of the Day; Posts Top 3- and 9-Weight Steer Sales in the Country Tuesday
Beaver County Stockyards in Beaver, Oklahoma, had the largest feeder cattle sale in the country Tuesday with more than 3,400 head in receipts and was awarded the Superior Steel Sales “Stickout Sale of the Day” by Corbitt Wall on Wednesday’s Feeder Flash.
Beaver posted the top two 9-weight steer sales in the nation, with 118 head averaging 907 lbs bringing $349.50 and 63 head averaging 918 lbs at $349.00. The sale also produced the second- and third-highest 10-weight steer prices in the country Tuesday, as 105 head weighing 1,048 lbs sold for $311.00 and 81 head at 1,041 lbs brought $310.00.
Beaver also had standout sales in the 7- and 8-weight classes, with 58 head averaging 750 lbs bringing $391.00 and 209 head weighing 829 lbs selling for $367.75. The barn also posted the top 3-weight steer sale in the country Tuesday, with 10 head averaging 372 lbs bringing $615.00, ranking as the 8th highest 3-weight steer price in barn history.
