Here are just a few that I snapped while cleaning out the rows. Yesterday, we started prepping for seed collecting as well as frost-as it is right around the corner! All our dahlia seeds are open pollinated and are NOT identical to the seed parent. These will be brand new varieties never before brought into the world. Dahlias carry 8 sets of genes so you never know what you will get when planting seeds, which makes it all that more fun!

If you want a plant with identical flowers as you see in our pictures, you will need TO BUY A TUBER of that variety.

We allow all our seedlings we start by seed in November to grow out until the end of August and then we pull them. We like to see exactly how many seedling viable tubers we get and track those just so we have an understanding of just how big and how many they produce. All our seedlings are grown in 7 gallon grow bags and are a great asset to us as they bring in pollinators starting early in the grow season. In the next 3 videos you will see me, in all my morning glory-bedhead and all, rinsing, dividing and showing you our smallest mobile water catchment and rinse "table". Jason is so ingenious some days! Waste not, want not!
