Update on our little dude, I think he’s out of the woods 🎉🎉 he’s all perky and bouncy and nursing well ,. Super friendly as I am the reminder it’s time to nurse, still ensuring mom stays still and allows him a proper full ration … not sure if he should become a wether considering how friendly he is, but I need to decide soon, he’s a pure bred ram lamb missing one of the black marks on his left hind leg but other then that he’s perfect .. what do you think? Whether or ram?

Shirley, the first baby Valais born on our farm, had her first babies early Tuesday morning, two boys, one enormous boy that didn’t survive delivery and one tiny boy a third of the size . This little man has been a struggle to keep alive, he isn’t out of the woods yet he knows how to nurse, but doesn’t seem motivated to seek out the milk bar on his own, I really don’t have any desire to have a bottle baby, so I’ve been guiding him to the milk bar several times a day and night hoping he will figure this out eventually… we aren’t there yet, keep your fingers crossed for him and me, I’m running on fumes at the moment🥱😩 but his adorably tiny sweet face keeps me motivated… raising livestock is so rewarding and so incredibly mentally and physically draining all at the same time

Rudy’s on the job with the frosted ladies and some the mini girls 🤞🤞🤞 hoping for some lovely frosted offspring in the coming calving season,,, once he’s finished up his job here he will be looking for new ladies.. couldn’t ask for a nicer temperament in a bull, he isn’t registered although he comes from a nice line of registered stock..

This is always tough, as we move forward each season we adjust the direction of our program and ultimately that means we have to let go of some of our amazing mommas, all of these girls are bred, easy calvers, proven mommas… you could aquire a cute little heifer calf and then wait the three to four years for your first offspring or jumpstart your program with one or more of these amazing options , the mini girls Coco, Luna, Stella and Rhonda are all exposed to a stunning and very mellow brindle heavily frosted full highland bull.. Pearl , a small framed midsize highland, is bred to our mini Homozygous Highpark bull Teddie for a Highpark offspring and Sage ( a midsize full highland) is exposed to Marshall (dun) and Ranger ( silver) mini bulls for most likely a silver offspring .. now if you are looking for a bargain sorry these aren't what you are after, we love these girls we have a lot invested in them and they are carrying high value calves from excellent stock in their bellies… but if you are serious, have already talked to your spouse and are ready to make a move please reach out …

Itty Bitty Bertie, the granddaughter named this little boy and I think she nailed it.. it’s hard not to watch him in the pasture he’s just so darn adorable, as well as just a naturally calm inquisitive little dude .. If your on the hunt for a super fluffy mini future herd sire don’t think you could go wrong with this little piece of perfection 😍

Cindy Cowford is really coming into her own, she turns two in Dec, short, deep bodied naturally small little lady, came to us all the way from FL via Knuckle Bump Farms, a Homer offspring, we can’t wait to find the perfect breed pairing for this coming spring.. Future is looking bright 🥰
