We did go to the Imlay City Show on Saturday but I did terribly on remembering placings as S&S Family Rabbitry was helping her niece and nephew show so I was also putting her rabbits on the tables and looking at her list to make sure the right ones got up. I do know that we both did quite well and our rabbits kind of flip flopped for the show I do know my AW doe got BOV show b. I will add placings when we get them! Thank you S&S for bringing me and helping fill classes!

With the cooler weather yesterday we got some does bred and some rebred that didn’t take the last time. Crossing our fingers that the boys aren’t heat sterile… but we bred AKS Tefiti to AKS Eeyore, Rockstars Venus to AKS Eeyore, my new broken doe to Case’s Mater and grandma bred her black doe to her white satin buck milkyway. So if you’re wanting brokens be on the lookout. Also updated pics of the satin babies cause they’re adorable!

Well that’s not supposed to be there… gotta love when genetics throw a curveball excited to see these babies grown.

I got news yesterday that the other meat pens I sold for the Iosco fair did really well for their kids they placed and sold quite well! We sold the reserve grand champion pen, 3rd place and 5th place pens. Congrats to the kiddos and thanks for choosing me for your pens! If you’ve bought a pen from us or even just a rabbit in general we would love to hear how they are doing for you and we love supporting the youth and new breeders!

I have these babies looking for new barns I have 3 red bucks, 3 white satin/New Zealand cross bucks and 1 white cross doe. The whites only have parents on their pedigrees as I don’t have pedigrees on their parents. 1st three pictures are the doe. Also last chance on Cherry as she will be going to freezer camp if not gone soon.

Fair week is officially over. This is always one of my favorite yet least favorite weeks every year as it’s stressful but so rewarding at the same time. While I can’t compete at fairs anymore I love the atmosphere and I love helping the future generations and my sisters with their projects and helping out in whatever ways I can no matter who it is or what animal it is. And while none of my sold pens placed this year I didn’t sell as many and I didn’t breed as much with my hip surgery. Despite them not placing they had good comments from the judge she just wished they were a tad bigger to compete with the other animals and one in another one was just slightly smaller than the other two. I am so proud of these kids for all the hard work they put into these animals and for pushing through on show days when it’s super hot and rabbits don’t wanna pose up or do showmanship. My sisters both places in showmanship this year and I’m very proud of them and all the practice they put into it.

I have a couple proven does that can go help another barn out. These does are 2 years old and very good moms the chestnut has fostered for me with both her litters even as a first timer. Both does have also had 2 litters I don’t breed too heavy and had a lot going on the last year with my hips o everyone’s kind of sat a bit. Both have outproduced themselves and both were repeated breedings with their litters.

Kiser’s Cherry bomb chestnut doe
This doe is small she is part of my line I bred white into she does produce reds and she produces big bred to the right buck. I am keeping a daughter back from her most recent litter and her daughter from the last litter is with my friend. Trying to get my barn to be all showable but she could help in a red program or go as a meat breeder.

Kiser’s Amethyst booted red doe- sold
This doe is a special one and I won’t be upset if she doesn’t go if I wasn’t keeping 3 daughters from her 2 from her first litter and one from the second all full siblings she would stay. My friend also has a daughter from her first litter who has a leg. This doe is solid my sister used her in her meat pen 2 years ago I’m glad I kept her back. I would show her if she wasn’t booted. I will say she can be a bit temperamental but has never offered to bite just grunts and is very watchful over her babies.
