Beaverton hours: Wednesday-Sunday, 11am-4pm | Newberg Hours: Saturday-Sunday 11am-4:30pm Cooper Mountain’s unique soils are the result of a cataclysmic volcanic event in Eastern Oregon some 50 million years ago. These soils, along with climactic conditions influenced by our proximity to both the Columbia Gorge and the Chehalem Mountains, help us to produce wines with a specific sense of place. Coo

per Mountain Vineyards got its start in 1978 when Dr. Robert Gross and his wife, Corrine, planted the first Pinot Noir and Chardonnay vines. The two of them tended the vines and carefully nurtured them as they established in the unique soils of Cooper Mountain. The vines matured gracefully to produce authentic Oregon Pinots. At first, the fruit was sold to other wineries and crafted into wine by some of Oregon’s finest winemakers. In 1987, the winery opened to offer its first vintage to the public. We now farm more than 160 acres, grow five varietals and are committed to sustainability: organic and biodynamic farming and winemaking and dry farming.

The wait is over.

Introducing our 2024 Chehalem Mountain Vineyard Chardonnay—the inaugural Chardonnay from one of Oregon’s most historic vineyard sites.

Originally planted in 1969 by Oregon wine pioneer Dick Erath, this remarkable vineyard has helped shape the story of Willamette Valley wine for more than five decades. Today, after thoughtfully restoring the site to certified organic and biodynamic farming, we’re honored to share its next chapter.

Bright, mineral-driven, and beautifully layered, this wine captures the energy of an extraordinary place and a landmark vintage. A living piece of Oregon wine history, now in your glass.

Available now online and in our tasting rooms.

Join us at our Newberg estate as we welcome our friends from for an afternoon celebrating all of our favorite things: great community, great food, and great wine.

Gather among the vines for a live-fire feast inspired by the Pacific Northwest and the French coast, featuring oysters, mussels, clams, albacore tuna, bay shrimp, and the best of the season, all cooked over open flame and paired with our fresh, lively organic and biodynamic wines.

A highlight of the day will be Tournant’s take on Éclade de Moules—a centuries-old French tradition of roasting mussels over pine boughs and rosemary, filling the air with fragrant smoke and bringing people together around the fire.

As spring gives way to summer and the longest days of the year arrive, we’ll raise a glass to Oregon, friendship, and the enduring pleasure of slowing down around a shared table.
