WEEK 12 — EVERY FLOWER HAS A JOB

🌹 12 WEEKS TO GO! 🌹

This week’s Rose Parade fact is one that really speaks to the florist in me.

🌸 DID YOU KNOW?

Every inch of a Rose Parade float has to be covered with flowers or other natural materials.

We’re talking flowers, leaves, seeds, bark and all kinds of other natural materials.

And the really amazing part?

Delicate flowers such as roses can be placed one flower at a time in tiny vials of water.

ONE. FLOWER. AT. A. TIME. 😳🌹

As someone who spends a whole lot of time making sure every little detail of a bouquet is just right, I have a feeling I’m going to be completely fascinated by this process.

I can’t wait to get there and see it up close.

💬 YOUR TURN!

What do you think would be harder to decorate on a Rose Parade float…

🌸 Something HUGE
or
🌸 Something tiny with lots of detail?

Tell me your answer below! 👇

Only 12 weeks until we get to see this magic for ourselves! ❤️

This is what wedding season looks like around here! 💐🚗

A car FULL of flowers, a little bit of chaos, and a whole lot of love. Every bouquet, centerpiece, and boutonnière made its way to a beautiful wedding this weekend—and I’m so thankful I get to be part of these special days.

Flowers delivered. Brides happy. And another beautiful wedding in the books! 🌸

✨ Stay tuned for wedding pictures coming soon… I can’t wait to show you how beautiful these celebrations turned out! 💐

Some bouquets are beautiful… and then there are bouquets that tell a story. 🤍

We absolutely loved working with this beautiful couple, and creating her bouquet was such a special part of their wedding day. She had a vision, and we wanted to bring every little detail of that vision to life.

We spent hours carefully sewing pearls throughout her bouquet to create the romantic, timeless look she had dreamed of. Every pearl, every flower, every little detail was placed with so much love and intention.

And seeing her holding her bouquet on her wedding day… that was the best part. 🤍

We’re so thankful they trusted us to create something so personal for such an incredibly special day. It was truly an honor to be a small part of their love story. ✨

🌹 OUR ROAD TO THE ROSE PARADE 🌹

WEEK 13 — IT ALL STARTED WITH FLOWERS

🌸 DID YOU KNOW?

The very first Tournament of Roses was held in 1890.

And here’s the part I LOVE…

The whole thing started because Pasadena wanted to show off its flowers in the middle of winter! The first parade featured horse-drawn carriages decorated with hundreds of blooms.

As a flower farmer, I can’t think of a better reason to start a parade. 😂🌸

More than 130 years later, those flowers have turned into some of the most incredible moving works of art in the world.

If you could go back and watch the VERY FIRST Rose Parade in 1890, would you?

👇 YES or NO — and tell me why!

🌹 13 weeks… here we go!
