Clarity is kind. And sometimes, the lesson we’re teaching is the one we need to hear ourselves. 🌿
During a Return to Self session this week, I had one of those moments when something I’ve known for years suddenly landed differently.
We were talking about how important clarity is when communicating with horses. They need to understand what we’re asking, where the boundaries are, and what we mean.
As I heard myself say, “Clarity is kind,” I paused.
Because I realized how often I do the opposite in my own life.
As a Libra through and through, I hate conflict. I’ll soften what I mean, skirt around things, or avoid saying what needs to be said if I think it might upset someone.
But when we avoid being clear, we don’t prevent conflict. We often create the very thing we’re trying to avoid. When people don’t know what we want, need, or mean, they’re left guessing and making assumptions.
The horses remind us that clarity doesn’t have to mean harshness. Boundaries don’t have to mean rejection. Sometimes, the kindest thing we can do is stop making people guess.
Today, the horses reminded me that avoiding conflict isn’t always kindness.
Sometimes, clarity is the kindness. Easier said than done for me… with humans 😅.
🌿 What have you been avoiding saying that might bring more peace?
