We have the opportunity to use this guy for clean up on our FD A.I. ewes. This dude is an absolute beast for a FF buck. We actually A.I.ed a few ewe lambs to him last year for late lambs. We held a few ewes back out of him. We sold a pretty cool speckle ewe at the Black and White sale this year out of him also. That ewe found her way to Texas. The family says she's looking really good and should start showing her later this fall.

Some had reached out about Big K. Here's a short video of her back the 1st part of April. She had just lambed the end of February and was nursing a POS (Bloodline x Platinum Shelton 22155) ewe lamb.

Yesterday Jonda Mericle and I went to flush ewes at Burch Livestock, LLC - Kolby, Micky & Miles Burch in Seward, Nebraska. We thought we'd do a little surprise. The top breeder that had the highest flush for the day would get a prize. We bought a power plunger and painted it metallic gold. 🤷‍♂️🥳🤪 We also made a snack basket. The basket had cheese curds, summer sausage, beefsticks and Lt snacks from my work Champion Steaks. Kolby thought he'd add to the game also with a handle of Crown. 🤣 The Kershner crew was leading with a 15/17 flush then we took the lead with a 17/19 about 4 ewes later. That ended up being the winner for the day. We couldn't give ourselves our own prize...RIGHT.🤦‍♂️🤔 We gave our prize and gag gift to Kershner for 2nd place and I grabbed the handle of Crown for 1st! Hells to the Yeah! 🤣🤣 All in all it was a good fun day with everyone that was there. Now 🙏 and cross 🤞 that we get some recips settled with embryos!!!

We A.I.ed the Heavy Hitters group yesterday for Round #3. The Burch sires we used for that sale are posted.

We also dabbled into a white buck that many haven't heard of. We bred our White Face, WFX ewes and a Piebald ewe to him. His name is CROOK! We could very possibly have some interesting marked colored lambs coming the 1st of the year.

We finished up Round #2 A.I. on Friday. We're pretty excited for Christmas babies. We bred to these Hobbs bucks posted! We also dabbled into one of the best FF BEL sons on the market today. That'd be NARCAN. We also went back and bred some PROTEST THIS to a few Southdowns. Rounded out with the ol man himself CHIEF.
