We’re excited to add this white 2024 Ram 2500 to the Bedrock Well Pump & Mechanical Services fleet. What started with a goal of providing dependable, honest well and pump service has continued to grow thanks to the support of our customers across Bedford County, Smith Mountain Lake, Moneta, Forest, Amherst, Roanoke, Lynchburg, and surrounding Central Virginia communities.

Our Case 25plus4 trencher is officially back together after a fresh Predator engine swap and a lot of time getting everything fitted, wired, and dialed in. This machine is now ready to get back in the dirt helping us tackle water service lines, well system installations, and underground utility work across Bedford County, Smith Mountain Lake, Moneta, and the surrounding areas.

This 400-foot well pump replacement started with a failed check valve and damaged well pump wire. After pulling the system, we replaced the compromised wire and installed a new AY McDonald stainless steel submersible pump to get the customer’s water system back operating properly.

One thing that stands out is the longer motor design on the new A.Y. McDonald pump. A longer motor provides additional surface area, which can help the motor transfer and dissipate heat more effectively when operating in the well.

A submersible pump motor is cooled by the water flowing around it. Keeping operating temperatures under control can be important for motor efficiency, insulation life, and long term reliability.
