Making my way through orders. On the last 10, should have everyone complete by July is my hope. Is there fair interest in reopening for end of season sales (Sep-Oct deliveries)?

So something happened that was really upsetting, and I wanted to share it with you all. I waited until everyone received their birds so I could confirm my numbers before saying anything.

I don’t believe this buyer removed nine birds from her box and falsely claimed the others never arrived. I simply don’t think that’s what happened. What I do believe is that someone may have opened the box during transit. The flaps can be manually opened for airflow if someone really tries, and somehow nine chicks disappeared from the shipment.

The number of chicks she received was not a number that I ever shipped, which makes the situation even more confusing. I’m honestly shocked and disappointed that this happened. This is mostly just a vent, but wow—this is a first for me, and I ship birds regularly every year.

It feels like a literal chick abduction.

Having to resend nine chicks and pay shipping all over again is a tough hit for a small business.

Hi everyone! I know we have a lot of new followers on this page so I wanted to go over how my Marans chicks sales work ❤️

We open reservations every year on March 1, and we typically sell out within the first week. I take a great deal of pride in the quality of the birds we raise, and because of that, availability is intentionally very limited each season.

We have received an overwhelming number of messages and inquiries, and while I truly appreciate every single one, I unfortunately cannot respond individually at this time.

If any availability opens up, it will be posted directly to our social media pages. Otherwise, any future availability will not be until September after I return to the States (I spend a potion of each year in Central America, my heart place)

So yes, I do have a whole professional hatching set up in my barn. However, yes, I did use a room in my house this year instead again lol next year I’ll use everything out there, but I just like being able to check on them throughout the day and have them be so close. 75 chicks to head out next week ❤️ so stinking cute, every single one ☝️

Little timeline update: All orders are predicted to be complete in the next 6 weeks. Around then I will reopen for a few end of season deliveries which will be shipping in October as I’ll be in the jungle in some other country for a bit decompressing. Hope everyone is having a great day and we appreciate your continued patience.
