Hi Everyone,

I know it's been a while since anyone posted on this site. I should have done this much sooner, but this last six months has been really hard on our family. The good news is that it's getting better and we are slowly pulling things together.
You see, my beloved husband and the heart behind KD Farms passed away in September last year. I should have let you all know sooner. Danny loved working our farm, but the best part for him was talking to our customers. He consider you all family and loved it when any of you stopped by to chat. He loved being part of the community and looking out for his neighbors. He was just a very special man. We miss him terribly but I have faith that he is with God and I will see him again someday. Thank you for all the many years of love and loyalty.

Took the family out to a local farm here today in Idaho to pick some fresh corn. Kinda neat just being a tourist after all those years of farming. :)

Hello! Just checking in with everyone. We are finally getting settled in up here in Idaho. This place is beautiful! The people here are very warm and friendly. Do you folks remember my youngest son Josh selling produce at the farm? Well now he is all grown up and got married in April! We are very excited that he will be moving up here from New Mexico on Monday! I will be planting my little garden here starting on Monday as well. We hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable weekend and we hope that everyone remembers what this weekend is all about. Please raise a glass on Monday to thank all those who sacrificed their lives for our Freedoms!

Brought back a bit of New Mexico with me to Idaho. Our official planting season is only about two weeks away so I've got a lot of work to do getting this garden ready! If you guys need plants Agra Greenhouse is open off of Gun Club and Isleta. 🙂

It is with a heavy heart that we tell you Loretta Torres, our Master Gardner in Los Lunas, has passed away. If you shopped in our garden center, you most certainly knew her. She was full of knowledge and always ready to help. Our deepest sympathies go to her husband George. Rest in Peace Loretta. 🤍

Gonna save us some Sandia chile seeds for next year. I don't know if they will grow up here but I'm gonna give it a shot. There are plenty of New Mexicans living up here. Hatch Chile is for sale at the stores. :)

Whew! I finally have a few minutes to sit down and catch up with everyone. As most of our fans know we have officially retired from farming and we have moved to Idaho. Beautiful country up here! Our house down in Belen is currently in escrow and our buyers are set to arrive now at any time. I may not be farming any longer but the new family said that they would like to pick up from where we left off. I would like everyone to show the new family just as much support as you guys have shown us over the years. They will be selling plants in the Spring and going forward from there. I am happy to give them whatever advice I can about the farm to help them along. The best thing you guys can do is support them and help make them succeed! We have decided not to close this page down. We will give updates from time to time about what is going on with us. We love our fans and thank you all for all the love and support over the years. :)

Well. I guess the secret is out. KD Farms is up for sale! We have been actively working and growing in this community for 15 years and unfortunately my health isn't what it used to be. It's time for me to retire and pass the torch on to the next growers. The house is up for sale through Simply Real Estate. The house is a 4 Bd. 2 Ba. With a formal dining room, eat in kitchen, a sun room and more! We have an 800 sqft. garage and we are on 2.56 acres of land. We have new flooring in the kitchen and front bathroom, new paint everywhere, and we've rebuilt the evaporative cooler. There are tons of nice things about this house. If anyone wants to buy this place and keep the farm going I will leave all of my wholesaler information with the buyer. We want to thank New Mexico for supporting us over the last 15 years we have been in business here. It was a real pleasure to serve you folks! Good morning. We hope everyone is enjoying this long weekend and will take a moment to remember why we have our freedoms. As far as plant sales go we are pretty close to being finished. We have a couple of hundred Sandia plugs left for sale and a few tomatoes. We will not be keeping regular hours until our produce gets ready. Alright folks! We had a customer who backed out of a large order of chile plugs so now's your chance to finish up your gardens! We have chile plugs available in Sandia Hot,Miss Junee, Big Jim,Jalapenos and Yellow Hots for only 25 cents a plug. We still have some cucumbers and squash left as well. We are open 7 days a week from 9AM to 6PM. Stop by! :)
