Chavez Brothers Vineyard Chavez Brothers Winery and Tasting room is located at 210-B South Main in Belen, NM. 505 861 9667 Continue south on NM-116 about 7.8 miles to Winery Road.

Chavez Brothers Vineyard is owned and operated by Fred Chavez and brother, Will Chavez. It was purchased in 2014 after the brothers had traveled to Spain and Portugal exploring possible vineyard opportunities. They decided to buy a New Mexico vineyard after finding that New Mexico started its grape growing and wine industry around 1629 in the Socorro area. The Chavez Brothers vineyard is located in Socorro county, in the Middle Rio Grand Valley, about 8 miles south of Belen, NM. The grape vines are Vinas Viejas; old vines that are well over 25 years old and produce high quality, delicious, fruitful grapes for wine, juice, jellies and personal consumption. To visit the vineyard, take the south exit to Belen and get on NM-116 heading south. Turn right, heading west on Winery Road and proceed under Interstate 25, make the first right turn and you have arrived. If coming from the south on Interstate 25, take the Benardo exit to NM 116, head north about 8 miles to Winery Road and turn left heading west under the interstate.
