The wait is over and we’re finally getting around to introducing our newest addition…Ol Hank! As you know we tend to name things around here after family so I thought it was appropriate to name it after my grandpa Henry A. Hampton. My grandpa was a WWII veteran and the salt of the earth. He loved my grandma, cold tall boy Bud heavies, Camel non filters and watching the Atlanta Braves. He taught me a lot and he’s grinning from ear to ear seeing how this farm has grown!
So now with the help of my beautiful and way more deco savy bride we’re gonna let all y’all have the opportunity to have a date with “Ol Hank”!! Starting June 15 we will be booking evenings for sunset pickup picnics!!! We will have 3 tiers of services that you can choose from when you book.
The “rents due” package which just gets you a 2 hour rental with the truck setup for $150.
The “I’m sorry hunny” package is a 2 hour rental with a NY style pizza, dessert and beverages for $225
And the “High Country” package which gets you a charcuterie board, dessert, beverages and 3 hours of rental for $300.
I think Hank’s gonna be popular so you better get to sharing this with ya person!! If you’ve been here during sunset you know it’s better than anything Chat GPT can paint!!

Just a quick FYI…we are now closed until hopefully late August. Keep praying for rain!! Our flowers are gone however we do offer off season photography for those wanting sunset photos or a natural setting like our broomstraw fields and pine tree patch. Our off season rate is $60 per hour with no additional admission fees. And don’t forget about our ol truck “Mary Ann” She’s still available to rent as well. Message or email us to book dates.
Also if the gates are closed that means we are closed. Don’t travel behind the gates looking around for flower fields. That’s called TRESPASSING.

This Memorial Day is a little more special for us. Last month I got an email asking me if it would be possible for a group of photographers and videographers to come out and use our Poppy fields. After a quick conversation about the fields I found out that they would be coming from San Antonio, Texas and that Chat GPT told them about us. That’s crazy in itself!! These guys were coming to take pictures and videos for USAA’s Memorial Day Campaign. They were here for 3 days during the rain to photograph our fields. The level of pride that these men took in capturing images that would honor our fallen soldiers was incredible to say the least! The USAA facilitates a Poppy Memorial Wall at the National Mall in Washington DC that commemorates fallen American servicemembers. It is a large, two-sided exhibit, measuring 133 feet long and 8.5 feet tall, and features over 645,000 poppy flowers, with each poppy representing a life lost in service to the nation since World War I. The wall also includes special panels to honor specific conflicts, to educate the public on the significance of Memorial Day, the meaning of the poppy, and to honor those who have defended our freedoms. Take a moment today and stop to be thankful for everything that you know as normal. Good and bad. We are honored to be a part of honoring these people and we look forward to next years campaign. 🇺🇸

Here’s your Friday Flower update!! Here’s what we got left. We plan on opening today at 4 if it’s not raining. Check the radar before you head this way. It’s looking like Saturday will be rained out so Sunday will most likely be our last day open to the public. However if you’re a photographer who has sessions booked we will accommodate you. Just message us and we’ll work it out.

The Larkspur are at full speed at the moment. If you haven’t looked at the forecast for this week you better. It’s looking like we may get washed out for the remainder of the season. But we are in NC so who really knows??? With that being said you better come out before Thursday if you’re wanting peak colors in your photos. After Thursday it’s a toss up. If I were a betting man I’d say any decent amount of rain will probably beat the petals off the flowers due to them being fragile from the lack of rain.

They’re still crushing it!! Honestly I’m surprised they all are looking this good with the small amounts of rain we’ve had in the last few months. As of today we hope to ride the wave through Memorial Day.
I’ve been saying it all along don’t wait til the last minute to get out here!! Just a few housekeeping rules to remind all of our visitors
🌺 If you’re here for pictures everyone in your party is responsible for the $12 admission fee.
🌺Photographers are required to pay the $30 hourly fee
🌺You don’t have to pay the fee if you’re here taking pictures of your family. Don’t be the one who tries to use the “I’m not charging anyone”. I’m old and I can tell you’re lying 🤥
🌺Park and pay your fees. Don’t stop in the driveway!! We know your photographer told you to drive to the back field.😇It causes a chain reaction of other people stopping and doing the same thing. 🐒 see 🐒 do!

Here’s your flower field update!! These poppies are still going strong!! Everything is still looking amazing!! Thank you to everyone who came out this weekend and thank you for bringing your mom!! I know they appreciated it way more than us. The weather was a factor for the balloon Saturday but hopefully we can get something nailed down when the next season rolls around. I’m estimating another 2 weeks and that’s just a good ol country guesstimate but it could be a few days shorter and a few days longer so yes who really knows but the good Lord 🙌🏻. I would definitely get here sooner than later.

Saturday 11-Dark
Sunday 2-Dark
As of right now we’re unsure about Memorial Day. As recently posted we own 2 yachts and would like to use them so we’re not sure about opening that Monday or not. We’ll see🤷🏻.

Ok fam tomorrow’s the big day!! The flowers are looking awesome after the little rain that we got yesterday. We’re watching the wind forecast for the balloon so just be patient with us. We will have something new this year while we’re waiting on the wind to cooperate. We’ll have a full-size balloon on the ground where kids and adults can run in and have a little fun while they’re waiting. Hopefully everyone will get a chance to go up as long as it’s not gusty. Also just wanted to give out a quick rundown of what we need from you guys.
🌸DO NOT STOP IN THE DRIVEWAY AND COME OVER TO THE REGISTER AND PAY. Park then come pay then drive down to wherever your photographer told you to meet.
🌸DO NOT STOP IN FRONT OF THE CARPORT AND EXPECT US TO COME TO YOU. THIS AINT SONIC. WE ARENT CAR HOPS.
🌸You are still required to pay admission if you are here getting your photos taken. Everyone in your party must pay even if they’re just watching.
🌸When you are leaving from the fields follow the EXIT sign with the red arrow. DO NOT come out the way you came in.
🌸And drive 5MPH

Sorry for the delayed posts but we have been slammed…which is a good thing!! A big thank you to all the new folks and the West Forsyth Lady Titans Soccer Team for coming out to see what all the hype is about! And oddly enough no one has wanted their money back😇. . Real quick DO
NOT STOP IN THE DRIVEWAY!!
Park first, come pay then drive to your photographer!! We know your photographer told you to come to the back field but when you stop you cause a chain reaction of people stopping.
Pretty much all the flowers are rocking except for the Larkspur. They’re dragging their feet a little except for the dark purple field. These pictures are from yesterday and today.
So everyone has been asking about the festival and it’s a go for next weekend May 9th. The hot air balloon will be back and hope to have it up around 4pm. It may be sooner it may be later. Just to be clear the balloon CANNOT be lifted if the wind is over 5MPH. So just be patient with us we want everyone to have a chance to ride this year. We also have space for a couple extra food vendors and vendors who would like to hustle some of their merchandise. Shoot us a message if you’d like to participate. The gate opens at 11am and we shut down at dark. We may have time to let you get some photos with the balloon on the ground with the fire lighting things up.
The admission fee will be $12. Kids 7 and under are free. 65 and over $5. Veterans are free. The balloon rides are tethered and will cost $15. No reservations or presale tickets are needed. So grab ya momma and all her church friends and get in out here next weekend!!
