If I'm being honest, the August burnout is hitting regardless of my (half ) attempts to keep it away. My mood is very much "quit watering and let it go to seed". I'm looking to the skies for rain and looking for any color change in the leaves. I've stepped back and pulled back so many times over the summer that I know the feeling isn't totally self imposed, it's normal to feel an eagerness before the change in seasons and the tiredness that is setting in is a fulfilled one. But, there's more work to do. Harvesting, selling, planting for fall. This is a year of big growth for us. Big push and big change. That doesn't mean I sacrificing myself, or my body, but it does mean I have to keep going when things get hard. We are in the home stretch.
